The lower level of our Jewel Lake Home with a separate entry, and fun backyard. This is a recent remodel; an eclectic space with vintage wood ceilings and a blend of industrial+ modern detailing. We are 5 minute drive from the airport, and guests can enjoy Alaskan wilderness right from this space. A forested trail system lies right behind our house for walking and biking. Guests may collect eggs from our chickens, use our forest-side hot tub, stoke the firepit, or use paddle boards at Sand Lake.

About 20 mins from the Anchorage airport, we are located on the Anchorage Hillside, known for its scenery, great hiking trails (including Flattop Mountain), and fabulous mountain and inlet views. We are minutes from the Old Seward Highway South-bound exit that leads to some of Alaska's best-known tourist hot spots including Girdwood, Seward, and Kenai Peninsula. Our place is located in south anchorage up on the hillside surrounded by beautiful trees and right by the hillside park , it’s a very safe and private neighborhood. You will have you own studio apartment to yourself. We are 3.1 miles from the closest grocery store (7 mins). We are 5.5 miles from the alaska native hospital (11 mins). We are 0.8 of a mile from hilltop skii area and hillside park (3 mins) and about a 5 min. walk. We are 2.4 miles from the alaska zoo (5mins).

We aim for you to feel as though you are visiting family. The spacious yard features a large swing set for kids and a sandbox. Pat will likely greet you and give you a verbal tour of Alaska. Charming southside mother in law studio. South facing windows shaded with trees offers just enough privacy yet lets dappled light come through. Private entrance includes an outside seating area for morning coffee. Inside provides many amenities to make your stay comfortable. Please, no scented candles or incense as the upstairs tenant is extremely allergic.
