Vacation home accommodations in Balkans

We were two Canadian couples staying for 5 nights (after visiting Milano/Genova), with a car that we rented at Catania airport. We arrivred at 9PM but our host Nando was communicating us and received us in person. Upon arrival, fridge had some complimentary sandwiches, juice drinks and snacks, and a delicious homemade cake. Lovely place, peaceful, spacious, additional to detail, comes as advertised. Beautiful 180 degree view, when sitting outside by the pool, and even from main salon/kitchen. Loved the bedrooms and in particular the high quality mattresses and sheets. Made good use of the washing machine as we had a lot of laundry from our first week in Italy. Nando was very thoughful and proactive in checking in on us and suggesting places to visit and eat at. Good location, about a 10-15 minute drive to Taormina parking and a short drive to get on highway to visit Mount Etna or Syracuse/Ortigia. We had a wonderful stay in Sicily, thank you Nando!

We were very well hosted by Daniela even though the check-in was a little chaotic with our GPS and the little information about the place, which is in the countryside. Daniela doesn't speak any English, which made things a little more complicated. But, we ended up finding it, that's the main thing. Upon arrival and departure, Daniela offered us Sicilian culinary specialties, which were very good and delicious fruit (special mention for almond cakes on the last day! ) The place is peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed the pool, especially since we were alone in the rental, which includes two other apartments. The beds are very comfortable. In short, we really enjoyed this place because we were quiet. Pardo was very friendly and helpful. He was quick to respond to questions and was very accommodating.

Peaceful and calm location. Konstantina is a great host, very responsive and helpful. We had a great time!

Damiano and Corrada are extremely friendly. We received very warmly, they gave us useful information and as cherry of the cake, they did not give away four homemade cannoli that we will hardly forget. The apartment is super spacious and well distributed, with all amenities. Avola also has a pretty coastline and a family-friendly atmosphere.

We had a great stay. The house had everything we needed to cook and to have a comfortable stay.

the view was amazing. location is between Ohrid ans st naum monastry. so it was convenient to drive both.

The apartment in Porto Cesareo was a delightful place. Very close to restaurants, bars, gelaterie, as well as the quaint marina where the fishermen bring in their early morning their catch. What makes these places extraordinary are their hosts and Maria Lucia was nothing short of exceptional. Her apartment is well curated where nothing is missing. She went out of her way to help me with anything I needed. Thank you Maria Lucia! Such an immense pleasure to have been at your place and to have met you.

Very clean and well decorated spacious accommodation. The sea view balcony is very nice. From the beach we have a very nice view of scala dei turchei . I would recommend Fabrizio's place. He gave us a very nice welcome.

We had an amazing time at Soulas place! The home was exactly as described - clean, comfortable, and full of thoughtful touches that made our stay extra special. The location was ideal, quiet, with easy access to Neapolis center. Soula was incredibly welcoming and quick to respond to any questions I had. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

This place is every bit a peace of heaven! Senol and his wife Susie have created a magical experience in the mountains off the Mediterranean coast. This amazingly private property has the perfect pool and the views and sunsets are spectacular. If you want to relax but still be in driving distance of many well kown ancient sites and amazing beaches, this is the place to be. Senol is a great communicator and extremely helpful in general. He made reservations for us in 2 "off the beaten track" local restaurants that we loved! We will be back!

Nice house with a dream kitchen 😍 Hosts are very nice and good to communicate with. Located in a quiet street but good location to explore the surrounding villages and beaches by car.

Ana was amazing, she took great care of my parents, even helped with ordering a taxi for them. Would recommend her place, and we will be back.

Clean, spacious, quiet. Cool in the hot summer days. Can easily park on the street. Easy checkin and checkout. Easy to communicate with the host.

Myself and my family stayed at Lori’s apartment for a couple of days of relaxation. It was absolutely perfect! The apartment looks exactly, if not better than the pictures. The beach is less than a 3 minute walk, and it had an adorable bar that did the best coffee / cocktails etc. Lori was super communicative, and answered every question or need I had. I would highly highly recommend staying here, and will book again when I visit Dhermi ❤️ Thank you Lori!

If you didn’t know Stefano was an architect, you’d know a few minutes after being inside his beautiful house. The attention to detail, usability, and quality of renovation on this historic structure was exceptional. The home has everything you need. For example, we traveled across Italy for 2 months and this was the only home with a clothes dryer we found. The location of the home is perfect both for strolling the historic center of Locorotondo and for excursions to the many local attractions like Alberobello, etc. Try to plan your visit to include the weekly Friday morning market which is just outside your door. Stefano was an unbelievable host. We had a rental car breakdown and he picked us up late at night in the countryside when no taxis were available. We were so appreciative to know he had our back in an emergency situation when we didn’t speak Italian. A huge thank you to Stefano for sharing his lovely home and going above and beyond for his guests.

We were in the middle of a 5 week camping trip around Europe and needed a quiet place with ac for a break and this place was amazing. The pool was perfect for the kids and the views were amazing. Easy checkin and check out. Parking was a little tight for our large camper but any car will easily fit. The house is well equipped and the surrounding area is full of history. We would definitely stay again.

Stipe’s property is gorgeous! The sea views are lovely and it was pleasant to sit by the pool in the evening. It’s about 15 minutes to the downtown area and the Bolt was inexpensive. I had a question about the water tank and Stipe was immediately helpful - communication was excellent. I absolutely recommend this location and would not hesitate to stay here again.

quiet location with wonderful views of the bay of Plakias, close to the beach, supermarkets in Plakias by car or for sports within walking distance, many restaurants in Myrtios and Plakias lovingly furnished with everything you need ( also the blankets that were necessary because in the evening still fresh in mid-April), the shared pool was also great, the cleaning service extraordinary
