The Railway Carriage invites you to disconnect from the mordern world and embrace the outdoors. Situated amongst the copse of Bedstone, The Railway Carriage plays host to an outdoor adventure's dream, with walking routes, biking trails and horse riding activities all on your doorstep. The lovingly restored carriage, has a beautiful wooden interior which is warm and welcoming. The log burner creates a lovely cosy atmosphere where you can relax looking at uninterupted views of the countryside.
“We had a fantastic overnight stay in this quirky accomodation. Despite it being a very cold weekend, the wood burning stove got the carriage toasty warm and it was fun to boil the kettle and cook breakfast on it. The bed is really comfortable, and it is so dark and quiet that a good night's sleep is guaranteed. We got fish and chips from Leintwardine but if we visit in summer I would definitely try and use the camp fire. If arriving in the dark, take a torch as there's no outside light and it was slightly fiddly to undo the lock and figure out how the door opened. Easy to find location and very quick communication from the hosts.”
Xidong is a cottage converted from an old stone and timber cowshed with a Japanese theme. It sleeps two people and has a hot-tub in the enclosed garden, which is available to use all the year round. More information and details of the cottage can be found on our website.
“My partner and I had a fantastic weekend away with our little dog I think he loved it just as much as we did! The Xidong cottage was the perfect little weekend getaway if you’re looking for peace and quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Also they left us fresh milk, eggs and freshly baked sourdough bread which was such a lovely touch! Plenty of amenities in the cottage including tea, coffee and sugar! I would highly recommend staying here even better that you can bring your dogs too! Thank you for a lovely weekend we will definitely be returning again soon!”
