Scout’s Den Cottage, very close to Black Mountain.

Welcome to Scout's Den! A cozy retreat walkable to all of Black Mountain's amazing restaurants and shopping. This adorable garden studio is separate from the main house and has a carport with space for one vehicle. This is truly an escape! With no internet we encourage our guests to enjoy the natural beauty of the mountains and our small town charm. We do have a TV with a Super Nintendo and DVD player if you feel like staying in. We live on the property full time with our family.

The RhodoDen

As its name suggests, The RhodoDen is a cozy 1974 Airstream Argosy nestled among the rhododendron of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Set along a trickling creek with a bonfire ring and a view of nearby Watch Knob, this is "glamping" at its finest. RhodoDen provides an idyllic place to relax, and is a great basecamp for hiking adventures, dining and nightlife in Asheville and Black Mountain, both of which are only 15 minutes away. Plus we are pet friendly! Update 3/24: We built a roof!

Inspired by the Iroquoi longhouse and Ryan’s off-the-grid childhood, The Roost is a rustic arched tiny home, framed with birch saplings. It's an hour to Great Smokey Mountains National Park!

It has a private entrance, so you might not see us at all-- unless you're looking for local recommendations (which we're happy to give) or to borrow a board game from our extensive collection!
