“We had a nice stay at Christina's place. The room was spacious enough for a short stay. The bed was large and comfy and the bathroom was a decent size also. The entrance and parking to the room was in a great location to get to the local pub which was convenient for a bite to eat. We also loved our little 4 legged house guest (one of the cats) who came to check out her new guests. Christina was thoughtful enough to provide oat milk and some vegan treats even though we had a last minute booking.”
Recently restored- self contained unit complete with own bedroom, bathroom, hallway and kitchenette. There is a relaxing atmosphere to the area. You are able to sit outside and enjoy looking out onto the garden and watch the many birds. We welcome well behaved dogs and have provided a small self contained area for them. Five minutes walk from the Camel Trail, many other footpaths and areas for walking. Blisland is a mile away where there is a pub, community shop and post office.
“Fantastic hosts, great communication at all times. The stay was peaceful and in such a beautiful area, our dog Archer loved watching the birds in the garden (as did we!). The surrounding area is great for long walks with stunning views, and perfect to bring dogs along. The place was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and we had everything we needed there - Pat and Graham even kindly left us bread and milk. Would happily visit again! Thank you for having us”
Welcome to this unique building The Gate House over 150 years old this is where the bell from St Mabyn was forged. It sits in the heart of the village next to the community shop and around the corner from the welcoming pub St Mabyn Inn.
“What a fantastic room and location. It had everything. Perfect for someone travelling on their own or for a couple. It was very cosy and comfy. I loved the porridge pots and hot chocolate for the morning. Great to have the local shop next door and pub a few minutes walk. If you want a room to stay to explore Cornwall then you will be hard to find a better one.”
