“We had a wonderful week at Claudio's house the first week of July. The house has a lot of charm and character. The house was very clean when we arrived. The location of the house was great. We were able to visit Barolo, Asti, Alba. Also the town of Moncalvo which is right up the hill from the villa is an adorable town. The restaurants there were excellent. The pool was very refreshing and clean. Then there was a ping pong table inside that our kids truly enjoyed. Anna Maria and Claudio were very attentive and caring homeowners. Any questions or concerns we had were handled immediately. If I could suggest one thing it would be to install some screens and fans throughout the main living area in the house, especially the kitchen. The doors and windows could not be opened at this time of year because of the flies and mosquitoes. Therefore when we were sitting inside the house at times it became very warm and there really was no air flow. Claudio has the grounds of the house treated for bugs but I think it is hard at this time of year in Italy to stay on top of the insects. A couple of screens and fans would make a world of a difference! Fortunately there is air conditioning in all 4 bedrooms so we were very comfortable at night to sleep. Thank you again Claudio for a great stay.”
Spacious and bright 100 sqm apartment for holidays and short stays. It enjoys a splendid view of the Monferrato hills, recently become part of the UNESCO heritage, and the Church of San Francesco. A two-minute walk from the historic center of Moncalvo, Casa Donna Rosa is on the first floor of a modern condominium, equipped with a lift and a private garage.
“What a fabulous place! I came here at short notice having been disappointed with another airbnb that I had booked in Mantova. My booking was accepted very swiftly and thank goodness for that. The apartment is huge. It has amazing views over the countryside from the balcony and windows. It's a very easy walk up to the main square. Moncalvo itself is a complete delight. There were cafes, restaurants and shops all within easy walking distance. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this apartment to anyone. It's a gem!”
Lovely little home, ideal for tranquillity lovers, located at 3 minutes from Moncalvo, the smallest city in Italy. The house has been carefully furnished by restoring furniture and repurposing objects from the past. There is a small garden from which guests can enjoy a beautiful view of the stunning Monferrato Hills, a UNESCO Word Heritage site.
“Village very quiet, very nice view of the room, small garden very nice with beautiful artichokes, very well equipped kitchen and really spacious house. Fresh house but a little wet in this period. Convenient parking in front of the house. Neat decoration with a lot of taste. WiFi broke down unfortunately and 4g passing pretty badly. A rooster acts as an alarm clock. 1h40 from Milan and 1h from Turin. Brief stay very pleasant family.”
