This property is on the Goldfields walking track and mountain bike track. It is in Creswick which is part of the central highlands goldfields. It is 20 kms from Ballarat and Sovereign Hill and 25kms from Daylesford and Hepburn Springs. It is close to town. You can walk to the supermarket, patisserie, 2 hotels, the wine bar, museum and the other amenities. The walking track goes to St George’s lake in the Wombat Forest. There are many birds; cockatoos, rosellas, kookaburras in the garden.

Beckworth Retreat - Ahh, the serenity!

SOME NIGHTS ONLY 2-4 BR AVAILABLE SO PLEASE ENQUIRE Wake up to the magpies, go to sleep with the frogs, kookaburras or cockatoos calling from the creek. During farm walks you will see kangaroos, wallabies, echidna and many birds including our resident eagles. Beckworth Retreat is a working farm located at the foot of Mt Beckworth just 20min north of Ballarat. Great place for groups but please note that we live in our attached private area and you will be amongst daily farm activity.

The building was originally a fully functional blue stone farm barn but since owning the property we have converted the space into an open plan house, complete with kitchen, bathroom, large living area and two mezzanine bedrooms. Close to parklands, Lake Wendouree, art galleries, wineries and lots of great cafes and restaurants. The Ballarat-Skipton Railtrail is just 300 metres away - perfect for quiet country walks and cyclists. It is comfortable inside and out with plenty of shady spots to sit in the garden.
