First timer Airbnb. Would I book Tom's place again? In a heartbeat. Why? Because the location and cottage were both absolutely fantastic. While Tom himself was everything you could possibly want in a host. He was on hand if needed but otherwise respectful of your presence. He's also a great sense of humour, which never goes amiss. I, genuinely, cannot comprehend the one or two negative reviews. I assume these guests did not take the time to fully read the (very) comprehensive description and do's and don'ts before pressing the Book-It button. The main point to note is this cottage is in the middle of a working farm - don't panic it's well landscaped around the cottage so you won't be stepping out of the front door onto a cow-pat! As a working farm, be respectful. You are a guest, invited onto a family owned farm. Act like a guest, not like you just bought the cottage freehold. In return you'll enjoy a beautiful stay, in a beautiful cottage in a beautiful part of the world. 5 out of 5.

We had a great time at this place. It’s a spacious and very clean accommodation. We enjoyed the silence very much. Looking outside the kitchen window is like looking into a 3-D painting. It’s a beautiful place from where you can do many different walks. Magnus and Roz are very friendly and easygoing..The weather was great and they let us use their beautiful garden with swimming pool as well. When we arrived it was nice to find bread, milk, butter, jam etc in the kitchen. It’s been a wonderful fortnight over here!

As always the Goat‘s Shed lived up to our expectations. This has been our third stay and definitely not our last. James is a great host always on hand to help. The space is clean and feels like home from home. The shower and black out curtains are a super feature as is the underfloor heating. Marshfield is conveniently located to explore the Bath and Bristol area. Our dog lives the garden and country walks. The Carherine Wheel is a great pub for food and the Country Store sells all your essentials as well as great homemade sandwiches and pies. Can only recommend. All round a lovely and relaxing stay.

Carol’s place is very comfortable and luxurious - just as described in the listing. It’s a perfect location within walking distance of all the amenities in the lovely village of Marshfield and close to Bath and Bristol. Highly recommended.
