Cottage vacation rentals in Columbia River

This place is magical! It’s on the edge of the forest and a few blocks to ocean. After a morning soak in the awesome hot tub on deck we walked in to the forest. It was awe inspiring under the huge canopy of trees. I felt so connected to Mother Nature at that moment. The home was spotlessly clean on arrival with a number of beds and enough space for a large family. Very comfortable and well stocked, even had a pet basket, we felt right at home. Wished we could have stayed longer and are already making plans to come back this summer. Kylee was very accommodating, we booked last minute and she extended us a late checkout so we could have a lazy morning and enjoy the place. 100% recommend this place!

We had a wonderful stay at Willow Cottage! The cottage itself was so cozy and clean & the location close to the beach is amazing. It had everything we needed and more, and the hot tub & patio area was the cherry on top! Becky & Scott were welcoming, helpful hosts and we would definitely stay again in the future :)

A friend and I went up for a night to coach volleyball, and the next night I traded her for my husband and kids. We invited our tonasket local friends for dinner and had no problems getting in and out and just enjoying the outdoors. You're supposed to pull sheets and start laundry, round up towels, and wash all your own dishes ect, so just a heads up. Next time paper plates! I should have brought my own coffee pot for more coffee. This one was small and just used the bags like in a hotel. The construction and space was beautiful and functional. The curtains over the doors worked great, (we brought a sound machine for the kids) and the windows were covered dark enough. The queen bed was really soft but shockingly comfy. The pull out bed for sure isn't comfortable for adults but my toddler was fine, he did get cold however. We utilized everything, and loved the hottub. If you're driving from Spokane, Just go thru tonasket instead of Collville, it's so much easier of drive! Thank You!

We’ve been to North Bend a few times, but this has been one of my favorite stays. The home itself was great, with everything you could need. The location is great, we didn’t need to drive to get to anywhere we needed in North Bend. Walkable to a couple parks for the kids. We loved our stay.

Wow...what a beautiful home. Super spacious, plenty of room for our crew of 5 adults and one teenager to enjoy. Large, lovely, well-stocked kitchen, comfy beds and furniture, beautiful quiet location, awesome back and side deck and hottub...the list goes on and on! We had a fantastic time during our trip to Orcas Island...one we will treasure for sure!

Erika’s place is a great spot for our vacation family down the west coast! We stayed for two nights and we all loved it. Love how the cute alpaca came to visit by the fence in the morning and were curious about what we were doing. We have a toddler with us and he loved the room on the second floor and all the games and books. Erika was also very helpful to help us with a last minute package delivery. Thank you! Will definitely recommend it to our friends and families!

We had a lovely stay at Kara and Loki's hideaway in Sooke. It felt like we were miles away from everything; we only wished we had booked a longer stay. There is so much to explore inside and outside of the retreat; we only touched on so many of the arts, reading and puzzles laid out in private little nooks throughout the home. Our hosts were very helpful and just a message away; very responsive and respected our privacy.

Great location in beautiful Cowichan valley with access to great hiking (Cowichan bay estuary and Stony Hill were two favourites). Our house was in a quiet location with comfortable bed and furnishings and a private hot tub for an end of day soak. An excellent stay!

It has beautiful views, enjoyed drinking my morning coffee on the deck, my Airedale loved the yard and playing in the water, we enjoyed watching the ducks swimming by and even with the rain it was still beautiful and enjoyable and very relaxing, loved staying there!

This was our second trip to The Rocky Whale in the last six months. We love it here. For us, the location is incredible. We spend as much time on the beach possible and being able to cross the street to the dune path and be at the ocean in less than 5 minutes is incredible. Low-tide tide pools? Check. Entire groups of seals? Check. Eagles? Check. Milky Way on a clear night? Also check! We are grateful for the ability to bring our dogs and the big open space downstairs to be able to house their crates. The bed/bath/kitchen has always been clean and comfortable and when the storms come through being able to hang out in the big living space upstairs and keep ourselves entertained (tv… storm… games.. etc) has come in handy. The kitchen is well appointed. We eat in when we stay here and there is nothing we haven’t been able to handle (sometimes a little improvisation is needed!) We were never able to find the tv remote on our second trip… but there is an app for that.

Wow. The excitement we felt to be able to stay at this beautiful home for a second time was not for nothing. This is our favorite vacation spot by far. With beautiful views, peaceful mornings on the patio surrounded by nature, and the adorable local spots, it truly can't be beat. Joanna is always a wonderful host who is responsive to our inquiry's, and the place is exactly as described. From the garden, the greenhouse, and the fire pit on the patio outside, to the beautiful windows with the best view you could ask for, and such comfy beds inside, why would you want to stay anywhere else? Our doggo especially loves the fenced in yard, and wrap porch to trot around and sniff the ocean breeze from sliding door to sliding door. We hope Joanna never stops being a host, as we are already wishing we could travel back to Hansville to stay again! Truly a paradise, and well worth the stay. 💚

We enjoyed our family spring break at the cottage. It's so nice to have good beach access within a short walk.

Carol was an amazing host, very responsive and offered early check-in! The home was super comfy and housed our 8 woman book club well. Really loved the quiet, the hot tub, and the short walk onto the beach. Would definitely stay again!!

We loved our stay at Willow Cottage. The house was cozy and warm, the location was fantastic and Jennifer was incredibly friendly. Our family of four visited in late December and had a wonderful time reading by the fire, watching movies, hiking Turtleback Mountain, cooking and doing all the fun local activities. It was also a great place for our dog. We wondered whether the wifi would be strong enough to watch movies, but aside from a little pixelation, it was totally fine. We'd return in a heartbeat!

We had a very nice stay in Shari's cottage. The house is exactly as the pictures show, and it was very clean when we arrived. Even if the house is not huge it was perfectly sized for a family of 4. The surroundings are very nice with scenic views from home on the mountains around. The entire property is secured and has good amenities (a playroom for kids, a gym, swimming pools, and even a pond if you wanna have a little stroll). Cultus lake and Lindell Beach is close even if it is best to go there by car rather than walking. Shari has been very responsive and we appreciated the equipment for young children since we have a toddler, and also the board games for winter nights in front of the chimney :) Would definitely recommend!

The vie is great, the bed is comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. On top of this the shower was a blast. All in all it was pretty clear that Cari and Ryan‘s Airbnb‘s have been envisioned, built, furnitures and decorated with love.

I had such a lovely experience here! The cottage was clean, quiet, cozy, and impeccably styled. A really homey little getaway - I didn't want to leave and I'll certainly be back!

Our family had a wonderful time staying here. We truly appreciated the kayak activity—it’s something we’ll remember for a long time. We loved everything about this place. The cabin in the trees is so unique and cozy—definitely our style. We also explored the nearby bays and beaches every day; they were absolutely beautiful and peaceful. This is a gorgeous, cozy place with a private beach - what more can you ask for? The unit was tiny and pristine, perfectly located near the ferry terminal. We loved the porch with the rocking chairs overlooking the beach and also appreciated the tea kettle + free tea. /coffee. You have to drive a bit to get to downtown Vashon where there’s more to do, but I was more than happy to do that. I loved this place and would stay here again!

The spot was amazing, with a great view, lots of cute outdoor spaces for seating that were private, super comfortable bed, and well stocked kitchen!! My only complaint is that the tub (one of the reasons I booked this place over others) couldn’t be used for bubble baths.

An amazing, well equipped cabin overlooking a pristine lake. The cabin is central to the island making it ideal to stay at while exploring Salt Spring! We were able to cook a full meal thanks to the thoughtful stocked kitchen and amenities! Ashley was a delight to communicate and even before we left we agreed we'd return someday.

Great host, I was busy when they informed me I could check in early and if we wanted the air mattress set up, I seen the message upon arrival. Let them knew we arrived and could set up. Received a message stating they can still set up. Clear and positive communication. We all enjoyed the welcome package, kids loved the snacks that were there for them to eat.
