Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Costa Rica

We were greeted by David and Penelope upon arrival with a warm welcome. We stayed on the ground level in the 2 bedroom suite with our own kitchenette however we received two wonderful meals per day with request. Our hosts were wonderful, informative, and accommodating arranging for a monkey tour through the Mangroves by boat and informed us of the tortuga release just down the beach from where we were staying so we could take the easy 5 minute walk to watch the release. Oh, speaking of the beach, it was amazing to have such an amazing expanse to walk wash day. We couldn't be more happy with our decision to stay with David and Penelope. Looking forward to our next stay with them.

My family and I’s stay at this Finca was excellent. Lia was overly accommodating and had a solution for all problems that arose between booking and arrival to sierpe. Ruth and Raquel prepared great meals for us and accommodated our “decide as we go” itinerary very well. Luis is a gem! He shared a lot of insight about the location, surroundings, wildlife, and history with my Spanish speaking husband. Luis was always patient & knowledgeable. The excursions were AMAZING! Better than anything we could’ve paid for with a tour guide. Our stay at this property gave an authentic Costa Rican feel. It allowed us to truly experience the culture, and that is vital for my family and I when we travel. Arriving to, & departing from the finca on the boat with Luis, was the cherry on top. We didn’t require a rental car until after our stay at the finca, to explore other parts of the country. Everything we needed was provided.

Highly recommend this place to stay in Monteverde! The host was super welcoming when we arrived and was kind throughout. The place is as described with a beautiful view overlooking the mountains which allowed for a peaceful and relaxing place to stay. To note, having a car or using taxi’s is most likely needed to stay here. There wasn’t really any restaurants or places to walk to without driving into the main township.

Idyllic surroundings - gorgeous and accessible. This place was exactly our pace. Breakfast was lovely and the pool was clean and perfect. The beach access is directly off the lawn and it’s breathtaking, especially at sunset. You share a bathroom with shower with one other room.

A great place to spend a week at the end of our trip to Costa Rica. Carlos and Marvin were very friendly and helpful. The kitchenette was great so we could prepare our own meals, when we didn’t want to eat out. Great hikes to the waterfalls and Playa Grande and Playa Cocalita. Really enjoyed our stay.

This place is a great find and an amazing location for the park, we loved seeing the wildlife in the garden and relaxing by the pool too. The staff were really friendly and helpful with parking and the bags. The breakfast was delicious and generous. Overall, this was great value and I would recommend.

Rainbow Valley Lodge was a great place to stay in Monteverde. It was in a quiet location just outside the center of town. Check-in and check-out were simple and the girl at the front was very friendly. They provided a map with local recommendations which was helpful. The room was clean with a beautiful view. Our only request for the future would be to add an A/C unit or fan in the bedroom for warmer nights. Overall, we highly recommend staying here for a Monteverde trip.

Amazing place, very clean and perfect for big groups of people! Jess was very kind and responsive the whole time.

A unique opportunity to stay in a rustic cabin within walking distance of a private beach on the property. Abundant wildlife on the property including monkeys. The bioluminescence tour was the highlight.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The space was very comfortable, they were very welcoming and the breakfast was delicious and filling. We loved being able to sit, enjoy the views and listen to all the birds while we ate our breakfast in the morning. It is such a peaceful and relaxing place with so much to explore in the area, I highly recommend. If you are not sure what to do when you arrive, they will give you recommendations and are very responsive to any questions you have. We hope to be back someday!

Dalia was so nice and gave us a warm welcome. We felt like family! There was another woman there that was also extremely nice. The breakfast was perfect! Great pitstop 20 minutes away from the airport. We ordered an uber to the airport and it was nice and easy. If we need a spot near the airport in the future we will definitely be back here! Thank you Dalia!

Edward and his family provide a lovely apartment close to the airport. We were exhausted after a full day of travel and it was amazing to have such a clean and welcoming space to spend the night. Edward was so kind and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed, even offering breakfast prepared from scratch. He and his family were wonderful hosts and we'd be happy to stay again!

Great place to stay, close to airport. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Very friendly host, Edwin even offered to drive me to the airport at 4 am! I was there only for one night. The room is spacious with a large and very comfortable bed / mattress. Big bathroom with everything you need. All was meticulously clean, and welcoming. I used the jacuzzi to relax. I would stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay at Margaret’s place very much, she and her son Nick made us feel very welcome. The place was at perfect setting in the jungle still at walking distance from the beach. Lots of wildlife especially birds visited the garden. Amazing breakfast was included.

Very good hosting. The place is beautiful and we still saw a laziness sleeping in the parking tree! Breakfast was included in the reservation and it was very good too! We were given tips on what to do. The mountain forest of Monteverde was without available reservation, and we were suggested to go to the Santa Elena grove! It was great!!

Everything was great during our stay. The location is perfect, near the beach, supermarket and restaurants. The room has everything you will probably need, also the shared kitchen is well equiped. The hosts are very friendly and the breakfast was definitely the best part of our stay.

This place was awesome! It had a shared dining room and kitchen with other guests, which we tend to shy away from, but ended up really liking the other guests, the hosts, and the host's dog, Mogly (sp?). Room was small, but didn't feel cramped and the bed was super comfy. The provided breakfast was delicious and nutritious!

What a great location. The hotel next door had a great restaurant and pool were were able to use. It was a little warm and there was no AC, but the fans were great. The iguanas on the metal roof made a bit of noise overnight but hard to nit pick the price and location.

Great stay again and very uncomplicated check in with very helpful stuff. I love staying there and can absolutely recommend it 😊 Beautiful place with in great location, tidy and super river view

My husband and I stayed here for just 3 nights and we could have stayed forever! The staff was SO nice and helpful, calling us taxis, communicating every morning about housekeeping service times for our convenience, and just an overall super happy and friendly presence. We couldn’t be happier with our choice to stay here and absolutely will return in the future!

highly recommend this room! we stayed in a different one for a couple days and this was our favorite! the monkeys are right by the screened in porch. perfect for our family of 4!
