Nothing new to say that has not already been mentioned - this place is beautiful, and matches the photos pretty accurately. would definitely recommend for a unique stay and amazing sunsets. We really enjoyed everything about our stay. it was peaceful, private but still very close to all the action of town. the kitchen was well-stocked and we were able to make breakfast easily. We stayed with our 5 year old daughter, and caution just needs to be used with regards to the outdoor space for little ones, which we understood prior to booking from looking at the pictures.

It's our second time staying in this house and we really liked it. Also it is a safe and very quiet place.

Great experience and friendly hosts. We felt safe staying in the jungle! The only downside was the construction on the road near by that would not allow Ubers to get to us. Otherwise, amazing experience!

Incredible place to stay near Monteverde. The pictures don’t do it justice - this was such a beautiful location and view. A quiet, safe, relaxing spot to watch wildlife off the back deck, or see distant lightning storms as you fall asleep in the comfortable bed. Would highly recommend staying here.

Stayed 2 months and 10 days at the wooden cabin, and I was genuinely saddened to leave. It was actually hard for me to leave this place. Abel is literally a problem solver. He jumps right in when problems arise to come up with solutions. Enjoy his sense of humor in Spanish, if you can. Spent Xmas dinner with this man and the kindest volunteer at the farm, and I wouldn't trade my end-of-year plans with anyone for anything. It was all perfect as it was. There's a beautiful community living there. Treat yourself to seclusion with a nice, clean, private swimming pool by a short walk to a waterfall and the river. Living here is a gift. Thanks, Brenda, for the humble care of the horses, the plants, and the garden. Thanks, above all, for sharing your property ;) All the best to you all!

beautiful place! Just for the city getaway for peace and tranquility. The cabin is small but has everything you need, I would definitely come back! The sheets, bathroom and everything was super clean. I'm just missing the Netflix, they don't have it available... Overall, I was fascinated.

Excellent place to get out of the routine, clear and spend time surrounded by nature. It feels a lot of peace and tranquility. Lindisimo place to spend time as a couple or family. Easy to get to and accessible for any vehicle.

This place was cozy and relaxing. A nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city while still being close. it felt like a private resort and the pool was well maintained. welved all the nature and plants around the Casita.

Large house with windows to all sides, only forest around, quiet place, good supply of firewood for fireplace well located and safe. Well equipped kitchen, maybe add 1 or 2 knives to cut. Nature included a nest in process on the terrace.

Words cannot describe our experience at Rick and Ashley's place, but here is a small sample: beautiful scenery, wildlife, well maintained easily walkable trails, tranquility/peacefulness, and the breathtaking Rio Celeste made this visit one of our all time favorites - in multiple trips to Costa Rica. Thank you for making this a visit we will always remember. 5-Stars all around!

Joe and Sue were amazing hosts! We arrived in the evening and immediately had an activity plannend early next morning. But breakfast was already prepared and was waiting for us in the fridge so we didn’t have to go with an empty stomach. They proactively arranged the taxis for us, another thing we didn’t not have to worry about. Joe and Sue are very lovely people with an amazing property and location. In the morning we did activities and in the afternoon we enjoyed the large swimming pool. Also a big shoutout to Ellie, she is the cook who made amazing 3 course dinners every evening for us. Definitely recommend this place!

Spectacular, perfect to spend time quietly and away from everything. Easy to get to, the house is very spacious, clean and with everything it said in the descriptions. There is a restaurant and grocery stores nearby. 100% recommended.

Nice place. You can spot animals from the porch. There is no separate bedroom. The shower temperature is difficult to control. Furthermore, we had a great time. Host was helpful and quick to respond

Absolutely recommend this place! Lovely wodden cabin very close to a beach (Playa Ballena) we basically had to ourselves. Fantastic Playa Arco is just a 15 min stroll away. The house has many lovely details and the porch is perfect for escaping the heat in the afternoon. We would definitely repeat if we visit the Uvita area again.

Essencia Lodge is a magnificent place, secluded and wonderfully nestled in nature. There's nothing missing and you relax almost automatically. Super tastefully decorated, it is wonderful to sit by the fireplace or in the hot pool, bathe in the river or just listen to the animals! Thank you Bari! A very special treasure is Miguel, the "caretaker" who impressed us with his warmth and helped us out twice - thank you again, dear Miguel! It is also fantastic that you can be cooked if you don't want to prepare something yourself. It was delicious! Overall really highly recommended for those who love nature!
