What a beautiful little gem of a place this is . . . A gorgeous secluded and very private / romantic cottage located at the foot of the Curbar Edge with stunning views of the Dales . . . Beautifully looked after and presented and a very private back garden Very good for young children A top place Will defo be going back ❤️😌😎

Rowan Cottage was just perfect for our visit to beautiful Eyam & its rich history. The cottage is supremely comfortable & easy to relax in. The kitchen’s equipped with everything needed to cook ‘properly’ - we really appreciated properly sharp knives! We bought excellent fresh food from the award-winning Spar in nearby Culver & topped-up in Eyam’s terrific community store (especially liked their range of Eyam Brewery beers) .We enjoyed trying Eyam’s excellent tea rooms, & bars -The Miners Arms & upstairs in The Mechanics Institute with its full-size pool table. We had a terrific Sunday roast at The Packhorse Inn Little Longstone (12 minutes drive from Eyam) - delicious local ingredients & lovely staff. We loved being able to take glorious walks from the cottage front door -including an easy stroll to the sanctuary stone or the 18 km circuit taking in Monpessons Well & amazing views at The Barrel Inn. Thank you Cheryl for sharing this fabulous place & being a perfect host.

Amazing place, great location near some lovely walks and pubs. Hot tub was brilliant and kids managed to swim in river !

We had a wonderful time staying at the Stable. It is full of character & expensively kitted out: seating & bedding so comfortable & everything immaculate. Val was always quick to respond & so helpful: we followed her suggestions of where to eat locally (recommend the Prince of Wales in Baslow & The Packhorse at Longstone) and we were very grateful for the ordinance survey maps & folder of walk guides etc. A shout out too for the incredible gift shop in Culvar, a walk downhill by the river- it’s a treasure trove! There’s a beautiful river walk along the Derwent from Culvar to Froggatt then cross to the other side to walk back. Beautiful! Thank you Val for a super holiday and for the generous goodies you left for us; much appreciated.
