In a quiet neighborhood. Two minutes from the 74 bridge, and just a couple more from anywhere else in the QC.
“Josh was a great host and very personable. My son asked, “Can we stay again next time”, because of the complimentary Xbox. It’s the little things that matter most: Juice boxes and snacks for kids, water and available frozen pizza for all guest. Great touches. This place has everything you need.”
This little cottage is a Rock Island Historic house. Nestled among the large Victorians, it was built in 1879 and housed various workers, from a blacksmith, to a wallpaper hanger! Located just blocks from the Mississippi River you can walk along a paved bike path with gorgeous views. In the evening enjoy the vibrant nightlife, with music and a dinner playhouse! This tiny historic cottage is great for a quick night, but perfect for class reunions, weddings and the John Deer Classic!
“This is the perfect place to stay after a day of history buffing, as we did! An old, historic home, fixed up beautifully and the whole place is yours! We are tall so we had to be mindful of the upstairs dormer ceiling, and the tiny stairway up was a bit of a challenge to our big feet, but what a dollhouse. It was a quick in and out, and meeting Carla was a joy. She is so enthusastic about the history and decor of the place. I whole heartedly recommend this place to any romantic out there who loves history and friendly hosts! Carla is tops!”
Cute cottage, newly updated with 2 bedrooms and private back yard. Close to I-280 and downtown. On the street parking.
“Great place, even better value for what you’re getting! The only thing that might be of concern is the LOUD heater in the house. I slept through it just fine, but if you’re a light sleeper, keep that in mind... also the shower doesn’t get super hot but the place was immaculate and Beth provides lots of tips and amenities as well.”
