“Jane and Mike’s place was exactly what we were looking for. We have been on a two week work road trip during this pandemic and on the way to Texas from Virginia stayed in some really questionable places. The Haven was a breath of fresh air! It was very clean and Jane and Mike went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and then some. Highly recommend their place and we will be back the next time I’m in Denton!”

“Where to even begin with reviewing this place?!? I guess I’ll list a few of the most notable things: First - we pulled into the neighborhood and my kids were already in awe. Living in a rural town, they aren’t used to seeing such nicely developed neighborhoods. When we came up to the house my boy yelled “PARADISE CASTLE”. Second - the home was very clean and well kept. Everything from the yard, living area, and guest area was spotless. Third - the home owners were there to greet us when we came in and were very sweet and acknowledged and addressed my children as well. They showed us to our suite and let us know that we could utilize the outside play area if we wanted to as well. They informed us of a Buckees store close by and told us about the other things their area has to offer if we decided to come back in summer months. Fourth - The suite is filled with anything a small family could need. Although I am a planner and bring all my necessities, it was so nice to see that had I forgotten something, they would have had it covered. Things we DID utilize were the MASSAGE CHAIR (pure heaven), the complimentary bottled water, coffee, little coffee dipping cookies, candy, and plastic ware for the leftovers we brought. They had a nice sized mini-fridge and microwave that were very convenient. The WiFi password was provided and the strength held up to three phones going at once on games/social media. We did not use the TVs but there was one in the living room and in the master suite room. The kids room had a ton of toys and a cute little race car bed that both of my boys slept in and the master comfortably fit me and my daughter and neither of us ever felt that the other was there all night. Fifth - The portable air conditioner in the main sitting room was WONDERFUL! I am a very hot natured person so I am almost always uncomfortable at everyone else’s comfort levels. This air conditioner helped lower the temps down a few degrees to keep me satisfied and did not have to disturb the homeowners with requests to adjust A/C. Only way it could have been better is if it was in the master bedroom so it could be shut off and only used in the sleeping room to keep it super cool. Ceiling fan was nice but of course I bring a little fan with us everywhere we go. It was a tad inconvenient that there was no nightstand, but the floor beside the bed was just fine for our phones and headphones to charge and be at arms length away to get to the alarm in the morning. Took me a little bit to find an electrical outlet near the bed. It’s behind the bed under the headboard. I always bring a small extension cord so that wasn’t an issue for us. We will most certainly be staying here again as it is in our budget, as well as in a nice neighborhood (single mom always worries about this one), and very clean and friendly/home-like atmosphere.”

“This place was an absolute dream. My husband and I spent our wedding night here, and it was magical. The space was so stylish and in the perfect location. We met in Denton, so staying right in front of the courthouse was so nostalgic. The three big windows give you the best view of the square, day and night, and the natural light during the day is wonderful. We would definitely recommend this spot to anyone and will be back again in the future!”
