Only 20 minutes from Edinburgh Airport by taxi. A beautiful modern family home right next to Forth Bridges and Dalmeny train station and 20 mins to centre of Edinburgh. An ideal, peaceful spot from which to enjoy Edinburgh at all times but particularly during the Edinburgh Festival when the city is choked with visitors. A great starting and finishing point for touring (cycling) the North of Scotland. We are literally 5 minutes from Fife. A simple self-service breakfast (buffet) is provided.

It borders Ratho Park Golf club (area of outstanding beauty), a walk from the heart of Ratho village, 8miles from Edinburgh centre. Female only. Bright and airy double room 1 guest. Newly decorated with new carpets in a family home. It's quiet residential area shared with me & my 2 cats. Upstairs bathroom is modern fully tiled with original Cast Iron bath & downstairs shower room. Back garden for smokers. Free on street safe parking. Appr 20 minutes by bus to Central Edinburgh £2 per trip or upwards of £10 Taxi/Uber. 20 minutes walk to the Royal Botanical Gardens and 5 minutes to Granton Bay. Female guests only please.

Lymphoy Lodge hideaway at foot of the Pentlands

My home is a former lodge house to an estate. It is located in a rural setting with lovely walks just outside the front door and easy access to the Pentland Hills. It is beautiful and tranquil and yet it is only 35 minutes by bus to the centre of Edinburgh (bus stop 3 minutes walk along a pavement). There are shops, a cafe and pubs nearby. Please note that the shower/loo are on the small side and it is a simple and homely room and setting. Breakfast is not provided.
