Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Faches-Thumesnil

Very nice and tidy cottage in a nice, quiet place. The kids were thrilled with the toys and the hot tub was a plus. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The only thing that could be better was the kettle (a little old and a lot of lime). And the towels were not supplied. That was neatly stated in advance, but we had missed it for a while.

David is an excellent host, always responds quickly and provides useful information about Lille. The property is superb, very well equipped and has a lovely garden. Off road parking space and garage available if required. The property is approx. 20 min walk to the town centre, and has a supermarket within 200 metres. Lille is a lovely town with very friendly people. The Eurostar station is easy to navigate, as is the local station which is very close (we had a day trip to Bruges). Lovely farmhouse in very characteristic rural Flanders surrounds. Very nicely done inside, with a very nice large garden / outdoor area great for BBQs. A bit out of town if that matters to you, but it was perfect for our cycling trip.

What a beautiful house to stay in. And what a beautiful property do Peggy and Gregory have. They were both extremely friendly and at the same time they fully respected our privacy. A very nice stay, we will come back!

Very neat house! We were received very kindly. Beds are wonderful. The kitchen and plumbing were also very clean. We enjoyed our stay!

The apartment is centrally located on the street level, but is surprisingly peaceful. The apartment has all the amenities and we enjoy the place to stay. Everything worked great. Corinne came to answer us at check-in and it was nice to get to know her. This is where I would come again when I'm in Lille.

Very nice host, fluid and responsive communication, all the instructions were very clear, a pleasure! The apartment has charm, it is not one of these investor airbnb furnished with 3 ikea cutlery, it is perfectly placed, it is impossible to do more central. In short, perfect for a Lille getaway!

We had a lovely stay, the accommodation was as described, very bright, easy to access which allowed us to go where we wanted to walk. The instructions were clear. Max was also very responsive to our requests. I recommend it.

Spacious and pleasant home. We stayed with 4 people and that was fine to do. Communication with Sidi went smoothly. He responds quickly and friendly. House is a 30-minute walk from the old town but the metro is around the corner. Recommended.

We loved our stay at Delphine's! Very easy to access, free spots nearby, and clear instructions. Everything was perfect, bedding, hot tub, bathroom, kitchen. Very well soundproofed and away from the street. I recommend this place, in addition to that Delphine is a very friendly and responsive host. Breakfast when you wake up, nice! Thank you for everything and looking forward to coming back 🌸

Feels very homey and peaceful. We absolutely adore this place. This is our second visit to Carmen’s villa and it never disappoints. It is located in a very central location and it is a small hideaway haven. The house is immaculate and well appointed. Definately recommend this place for anyone wanting to stay in Ypres.

We were a group of young adults and more senior adults. The house , garden and pool were fantastic for all the group. Loads of space and seating so you could easily find a quiet spot, especially in the garden. The chickens were very friendly and even Guizmo the cat seemed to get friendlier as the week went on. House was very clean when we arrived and very accessible for my wife who has limited mobility. Easy access to the patio, pool and garden was a big bonus. The surrounding area is very flat and good for cycle rides especially along the canal to Tournai which is a lovely small town. The beach at Den Haan is within an hour and well worth a visit with a huge beach, friendly sea and lots of cafes and bars. Ypres is also well worth a visit with the In Flanders Field museum a must for anyone who wants to know more about WW1. The war cemeteries were also very interesting and moving. We had a couple of early minor problems but Jocelyn responded very quickly. I would recommend for families.

If I could give a sixth star, I would. We enjoyed a perfect and very comfortable stay!

SUPER SUPER SUPER HOST & HOME. Sabine and Yves were absolutely incredible as was there stunning home, there is literally NOTHING you need apart from yourselves and your food, there is every possible convenience you need, every room was wonderful, spotlessly clean and sooooo homely. The outside area was fabulous with a huge dining table and pull across canopy to keep you shaded if needed while your having your Alfresco time, reclining chairs and table and chairs , and the views were perfect all in a secluded location. If I had to pick my prefect home this would be it, this is not a 5 star home, this is a 10 star home..********** Thank you both again so much, it was a pleasure to meet you, and I will always remember you.. xx

Preventive and active pro, Philippe and Nadège have checked in so that the house is accessible as soon as possible. A veranda, a terrace, a large fully equipped kitchen, games , clean and welcoming rooms, a neat garden... We keep a very good memory of our little weekend and we will be happy to go back. A peaceful and green setting, a healthy home: everything for a saving rest.

We once again had a wonderful stay at Stephanie’s place and were able to stay for longer this time. It was hard to drag ourselves away from the beautiful house, garden & pool but we spent some time in Lille which was wonderful. Recommend the Cita Parc for those with small children. A fabulous stay in a truly luxurious home.
