Vacation rentals with a kayak in Fond du Lac County

We LOVED our stay. Dad + 5 kids (3 adults, 2 works in progress) and the oldest's girlfriend had a fantastic week. The property is beautiful, the views peaceful and spectacular, the house large and roomy and clean and cozy (with lots of spaces to bring people together), and the kitchen is unreal. Things you might like: (1) watching the sunrise from the dock (which has a little bend in it to make sure it faces directly East); (2) kayaking on the lake; (3) renting a jet ski from the nearby rental marina; (4) watching a movie with oven pizza after spending a day at the beach on Lake Michigan (Kohler Andrae State Park is perfect); (4) a big family dinner; (5) time at the campfire after dinner; (6) the EAA aviation museum in Oshkosh; (7) lots of groceries and services nearby (< 10 min); (8) having five bedrooms so everyone can be alone when they need to be; (9) so much more.

Wonderful lake home; very comfy-cozy! It was close enough of a short drive to all the places we wanted to visit, yet very private. Sunsets over the lake were spectacular, and we loved starting our day in the upper porch with our coffee mugs steaming. Our hosts were so kind and always very responsive. They felt like good friends. We all hope to go back again!

I had an absolutely incredible time at Tanya's place! My friends and I were looking for a quiet escape from the city, and boy we found it. We enjoyed board games, hot coa coa, and views of the frozen lake. We even saw a fox on the ice one morning! The place was spotless, comfortable, and so cozy. The personal touches made us all feel right at home. There was so much thought put into every part of the unit — we would happily stay again. Thank you for an incredible weekend!

We were in town for our son’s wedding. The house was a perfect place to gather as a family and have coffee in the morning with a terrific view! Beds were comfortable and we had all amenities we needed! Would definitely stay there again with our adult children!

Loved the cottage! It had very easy access from road, well thought out and comfortable. Great views of the lake from all the main rooms. . Weather was perfect and we were able to have the full lake experience with swimming, the paddle boat and kayaks. Also enjoyed the deck and grilling out. Ryan was friendly and quick to respond to my questions before we came. We will definitely come back.

Loved this place! Indoors had great space & super comfortable beds.. plus two kitchens which was super convenient. Outside was breathtaking being surrounded by trees and a lake view that didn’t disappoint! Also two fire pits which was a bonus. The flowers were so lovely & brought in hummingbirds & butterflies…. Neighbors seemed friendly & the restaurants nearby were excellent! We will be back.

This cabin was one of the most charming places we've ever stayed! The history and character has been perfectly maintained and the updates to make it more modernly comfortable are appropriate for keeping the charm. It was beautifully decorated. All of the furniture was clean and comfortable. Plenty of hot water and we had everything we needed to make full meals. This may become our go-to for weekend getaways. The area is gorgeous and we're looking forward to exploring during other times of year as well. Plenty to do in the area.

The first words out of our 19 year old’s mouth was, “Mom, this is the best one we have ever stayed in!” Everyone loved how cozy the place felt and how you could set the temp for each room, just the way you liked it, including in the bathroom if the morning was a bit chilly. The rustic charm is just beyond beautiful. I loved the swing set and sitting area around back. Our dog loved it. Overall, just an absolutely gorgeous place to be for an entire week. The beds were clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice get away.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming cabin on a private lake, and it was a great getaway for our family. The cabin itself was cozy, well-maintained, and equipped with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay.

This is a lovely place, very private and beautiful setting.... you will feel close to city amenities but also like you are alone in the country at the same time. My only issue - it was during the spring melt so the roads were a little icy and they are dirt roads - so you have to be careful walking around out there. It was really just the time of year not anything to do with the lovely place.

This location was perfect for our yearly family vacation. The space fit us all perfectly and was extremely comfortable! Julian and his family offered us many activities and places we can do and visit. Overall the place was perfect and enjoyable from our littlest to our oldest. Thank you for hosting us!

This spacious log cabin on Forest Lake was excellent! The house was beautiful with lots of room and we loved the great room with the fireplace, lots of books, and games. The view was incredible-- the house looks out on the lake. We loved sitting on the pier having a coffee and watching the kayakers go by on a peaceful morning on the lake. Beautiful fall colors all over the Kettle Moraine with many hiking trails nearby to see them up close. Close to lots of little towns with great people and very good food. The hosts were very welcoming and we appreciated all the recommendations of things to do nearby. Overall, a very relaxing stay at a beautiful place.

We loved everything about the cabin! I booked it for my husband’s birthday weekend, the two of us and our dog had the most relaxing stay! Brandon and Tammera made us feel at home with personal touches they added for our stay. From a personal welcome sign to the snacks in the fridge, it felt like home from the moment we walked in the door. They made sure to keep open communication with us before, during, and after our stay; they were always quick to respond and with the most polite and friendly nature. My husband and I will be coming back during the summer/fall to be able to have full access to the lake. While it was too windy to enjoy the fire pit and the lake too frozen to ride the boats, we’re already making plans for both when we return!
