Cottage vacation rentals in Formazza

We spent two days in Anzola and had a great time. The house was a surprise, especially for my 5-year-old girl, Adele, who really appreciated not only the bathtub(at home we have a shower) but also the development on 2 floors, with relative stairs to climb and down continuously😅🤣. We lived a lot outside, eating outside and enjoying the garden, cared for and large (but not too much) and above all closed and therefore safe, even in case of dogs or children, as in our case. The house was very clean (which is not obvious considering the number of rooms, floors and spaces), very enjoyable and really well equipped. It has everything you need and even more, rarely is the same equipment on Airbnb. The final impression is that of a well-kept, beloved house that welcomes you in a hug, comfortable and suitable for short as long stays. We'll definitely be back!

We stayed at the farm for a family Christmas. Homes and spaces have largely exceeded all guests' expectations. All rooms have a bathroom, and the kitchen is exceptional, equipped with everything. The table had been prepared with care and style, and there was ample space for the kids to play. The common spaces are even equipped with a fireplace and outside there is a garden with some games. The patio, sunny in the morning, has white chairs. Giovanna was welcoming and kind in meeting all our questions or requests and the place is really special. Highly recommended.

Sabrina is a top notch host. Ever so friendly and accommodating, she also helped whenever we needed over the messaging. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a hiking holiday, some peace, beautiful views and an awesome hot tub!

Beautiful home with a view and lake access. It went very well, the place was perfect. we have a baby and a small one, all the childcare equipment was available and very useful. we highly recommend this accommodation.

Beautiful place! Right inside a horse farm. The apartment is located on the second floor above the farm office. Two huge bedrooms and two very large bathrooms. New and clean washing machine. We traveled with our children and they were thrilled with the place. The owners of the property were very friendly and highly available by phone (whatapp) Great place!

We enjoyed staying in the middle of the mountains. The baita is cozy, has a lovely garden, BBQ, and stove for inside. Our children (1 and 4 years) enjoyed playing in the garden. We made wonderful hiking tours. This space is really recommended for those looking for the silence and tranquility of the mountains. We were there in early May and the temperature was lovely. Had a lot of sunshine. The host was very flexible about arrival and departure. Thank you Emanuele for the tip to walk on the Passo della Forgalo. A breathtaking trek that starts next to the cottage.

Such a lovely stay in this cozy, charming cottage in Nesso! The garden was perfect for lounging in the sun, and we lucked out with beautiful weather. Check-in was super smooth with clear instructions and videos. While we didn’t meet our host, she was very responsive and helpful with local tips. We were greeted with pastries and prosecco, which was such a nice touch! The house is small but great for a short stay. A/C and heating worked well. Bathroom is tiny and hot water ran out quickly, but manageable. There’s a washer (we didn’t use it) but no iron. Heads-up: the steps down to the house from the road are steep! Also, a few things from the listing (like chickens or a certain seating area) weren’t there. We used the bus to get to Como—it’s easy once you figure it out. Overall, our host was wonderful and we’d totally stay here again!

A great stay in a very charming apartment with a great host. The location is wonderful, a steep but short walk down to the centre of Bellano, with decent bars and restaurants in walking distance. Percival was very accommodating, responded rapidly and was able to share tips for the local area. A truly beautiful spot and a rare treat to have a private garden with such a stunning view

Dear Deborah, thank you for the great time in this beautiful cottage. I was able to enjoy the short break to the fullest. The view from the terrace is outstanding! 😊 I felt very comfortable and above all welcome from the beginning. This accommodation is absolutely recommended! The contact with the landlords was very friendly and warm from the beginning. No question remained unanswered. I got great tips for hikes and restaurants. In the immediate vicinity of the house start great hiking trails, among other things, to two waterfalls! Thank you for the great time! 🤗

Very nice, older house, quietly located. Everything you need, well-equipped and clean kitchen. Huge garden with various sun loungers, hammocks, toys for children, barbecue and pizza oven and a beautiful view. The pizzas from the pizza oven in the garden tasted delicious. The communication with the host worked flawlessly, we always got a quick response to questions. We felt completely comfortable.

We had a wonderful time with Elena in the upper house. We absolutely liked it, as in the pictures, clean, well equipped, quiet location, ideal for relaxing. We cooked every day in a super equipped kitchen, used herbs from the garden, were hiking a lot and discovered a lot. Elena was easy to reach, helped us with luggage transport, was always responsive with good tips. The church bells ring every hour, for us it was no problem, rather peaceful. We were very lucky with the weather, an absolutely relaxing stay and will be very, very happy to come back. Our dog also felt very comfortable. Everything was perfect for us.

Maria and Marco were two hosts who made the family and me feel at home. The accommodation they reserved for us is really beautiful with impeccable finishes and then furnished by wooden furniture from an artistically impeccable manufacture and I still congratulate Marco. If you are looking for a quiet, clean place,full of comfort, it is suitable for every solution, well this is the place. Once again, I thank Marco and Maria for everything. See you soon…

It was really lovely to be able to stop at Paola’s beautiful home in Bioglio. It was space full, peaceful and well equipped with a warm welcome. Thank your Paola, we warmly recommend!

We had a really relaxing few days in this beautiful rustico with a lot of privacy. The view into the Onsernone Valley is top notch.

We had a great night in this little town in the valley. The house is at a very quiet and calm spot, has a lovely terrace and our host was very welcoming.

My husband called Peter’s place our little Hobbit House! Loads of old world Swiss character. Peter isn’t joking about low doorways in places. We both bumped our heads (gently) til we got used to this charming home. We are 70 and 75 so we were very careful going up and down the small stairs. That would be my only consideration if your mobility is limited. Otherwise, if you want an authentic experience, book Peter’s home!

It was a wonderful place, which adults, children and dog all enjoyed very much in their own way. And especially together. Relax in a piece of history, with a beautiful garden and countless places to read a good book with beautiful views. Ken and Kali thank you so much for this wonderful experience.

We spent a really dreamy spring week at Rustico. It is superbly furnished - especially the kitchen. We enjoyed the balcony for reading and the terrace to relax. The surroundings are beautiful: the stone village, the green Versasca, the many waterfalls and hiking trails. Everything is easily accessible. Cindy was very accommodating with our questions and we felt very comfortable. Many thanks for everything!

Highly recommend this fabulous, magical place! We truly loved our stay here. We felt like we were among the old ones… the homes are so very old- this one has been beautifully refurbished. The hosts have thought of everything down to tiny little details to make their guests feel comfortable and relaxed. We loved walking along the streets of the village being greeted by locals. There is also so much to do in the area and a lot of spectacular restaurants. We are very happy to stay here.

Lovely hosts that welcomed me personally, which I very much appreciated! The comfortable, quiet, little house is located in a garden on a hill at the edge of Como. The city center and lake are very close and easily walkable. The house is much nicer than on the photos! It consist of one open space (the bathroom is separate), beautifully divided into several areas/levels. You enter into the dining area, with on the left the living room with a balcony and on the right the open kitchen and separate bathroom. There is a beautiful built open wooden staircase leading to the bedroom on the left and the study/library space on the right. I was there in Dec/Jan and it was nice and warm inside. In a separate room in the basement are a washing machine, ironing board, laundry drying rack for guests to use. Grazie mille C&G!
