Located high on a hill overlooking the historic French Lick Resort and Spa. Charming Craftsman style home, walking distance to the hotel, casino, and downtown French Lick restaurants and shopping. Short drive to Patoka Lake. Well behaved, furry friends welcome.* (see 'other notes' for details)
“You will be impressed the moment you enter this stylish, well appointed getaway. Located on a quiet street, you are within walking distance of many French Lick attractions and eateries. The home itself offers a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces to relax. I highly recommend this host and property. You won’t be disappointed!”
Cozy cottage with 2 bedrooms, (one on main level - one on upper level), with 2 full baths, living/dining room, kitchen, and private patio. Convenient location in the heart of French Lick and walkable to all the happenings around town, including the French Lick Resort/Casino. There is plenty of space to enjoy your getaway!
“I booked this for my mom and her best friend. They wanted to meet halfway between their homes (Cincinnati and St. Louis) and hang for a couple days. They raved about the house and their photos are adorable. It was perfect for them to chill and drink wine but they also loved that they could walk to restaurants and shops. They also drove out to the winery and enjoyed it. They’re already planning a trip back! Both my mom and myself communicated with Kathy and she’s so lovely. Definitely recommend staying!”
This sweet bungalow is among six of the historic Ballard Arts and Crafts Bungalows. On a dead-end street, this is close enough to walk or drive a few short blocks down the hill to French Lick's hot spot. Enjoy a wonderful sun porch, or relax is the hammock in the back gardens. Meet Virginia is a fun, care free place to relax and enjoy all French Lick has to offer.
“This cozy bungalow was perfect for our girls’ long weekend away! Exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated, wonderful location. We loved the fire pit for s’mores and chatting one evening. Had plenty of space to relax and watch a movie. Utilized the large dining table and spacious kitchen for home made breakfasts and carry out dinners. The jetted tub looked nice but we didn’t use it. Shower was a bit tight but we made it work. Some of the local favorites we enjoyed exploring included Hinshaw’s rocks and gems, the vintage cafe at the winery for pasta, exploring all of the caves at Marengo, delicious Mexican at Miguel’s, a day on Patoka lake on a rented pontoon, takeout pizza from Chicago’s (not our favorite), and ice cream from French Licks. Most of the shops downtown weren’t open during times we could explore but we did pop into one antique store. Overall, we had a perfect long getaway and would highly recommend “Meet Virginia” and the area. Plenty of treasures left to explore and we are looking forward to returning.”
