This is a private container house on the shore of Lake Gyokudō, a beautiful lake in Suefuno, Chichibu. We connected a 20 ft container and a 12 ft container with an outdoor living room. Limited to one group, so you can enjoy with peace of mind. We reuse containers that were actually used at sea, so you can feel the authentic taste and romance. The site is 250 tsubo, so it's okay to bring a tent. Barbecues and fires are allowed on the premises. You can enjoy a barbecue over a direct fire. We also have a tent sauna, drum can bath, firewood cutting experience, row boat, etc. Please let me know if you have any requests. You can go down to the shore of Lake Gyokudoyo from the premises. "Kishuku-onza" is a private, single-family rental accommodation suitable for a relaxing stay with a small group. Only one group per day. The white-toned interior features solid wood floors and fixtures, giving it the warmth and gentle feel of wood. We also paid close attention to the ease of use and design of the furniture and amenities. From the glass sunroom, you can see the natural and open garden. We hope you can enjoy a relaxing stay here, a place to relieve the fatigue of the day, a place to spend quiet time, and a place to relax with your loved ones. ◎ 12 pm check-in (+10,000 yen) is available upon request. Shimomura no Hanare

The accommodation, “Shitamura no Hanare,” is located just over an hour's drive from the city, surrounded by the tranquil scenery of a lush, rural landscape."Shimomura no Hanare" was named after our family business. The accommodation can be separated from a compact but private space, and you can enjoy the scenery of the four seasons from the garden room.In this area, cars were not yet popular in the early Showa period, and mainly horses, cows, goats, chickens, etc. were raised and lived in horse shops.There is a renovated horse house on our property, making it a quaint space.The horse house is also a private space for guests.Children are welcome, up to one small dog is ok. In addition, although it is seasonal, you can enjoy shiitake picking, bamboo shooting, strawberry picking, yuzu harvesting, and more.

Richard Flavin's "Washi House", Saitama Pref.

Welcome to Richard Flavin's Washi House! Richard Flavin (1943–2020) was a Japanese paper artist originally from the US. He studied design in Boston and came to Japan in 1970. He later studied woodblock printing and developed a deep interest in the production of washi. He also cultivated the raw material for washi paper, paper mulberry. We invite those interested in washi paper and art to stay overnight and enjoy this space, reminiscent of a washi paper museum, including these unfinished areas.
