Vacation rentals with a firepit in Ghent

A beautiful guest house located in the outskirts with fantastic views. A very well kept and clean accommodation we were truly impressed. The guest house boasts of a lovely good size open plan lounge and kitchen area with access to private back garden with full use of sofa and outdoor table and chairs. The house was clean on arrival, and we loved that they had a range of toys for my children that were made full use of - So sending a huge thanks to the couple for that! The kitchen had lots to offer a space to cook and relax. A fully functioning electric hob/ dishwasher and fire pit (super easy to use). Good size beds in both rooms and my kids slept well. We travelled to Ghent and Bruges via car which took no more than 35 mins. All in all fantastic location with beautiful landscapes, Jabbeke had many shops / bakeries / electric charging points near by. Thank you to Frederiek and Riet and for their warm welcome and for letting us stay at the beautiful guest house.

Es war genau alles so wie beschrieben! Wir wurden sogar mit einer Flasche Wein begrüßt! :) Man fühlt sich sofort wohl! Alles ist schön sauber und man findet fast alles in der Küche, was man braucht! Wir waren als 7 Köpfige Familie plus Kleinkind da! Wir hatten auch echt Glück mit dem Wetter, sodass wir sogar den Pool nutzen konnten! Die Umgebung ist schön ruhig! Das Auto parkt man am besten vor Damme, da fast nur für Anlieger die Parkplätze sind! Aber man ist schnell wieder am Haus! Ganz oben in der 3. Etage ( Dachboden) kann es im Sommer wahrscheinlich sehr heiß werden! Es gibt zwar ein Ventilator aber so ist das eben mit Dachböden! Alles in allem, das Geld wert! Danke an die Besitzer! Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Osterurlaub in diesem charmanten Seehaus! Es war der perfekte Rückzugsort für unsere Familie und gleichzeitig der ideale Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge nach Antwerpen, Gent und Brügge. Diese Städte sind nur eine kurze Fahrt entfernt und bieten eine Fülle von Sehenswürdigkeiten und Aktivitäten. Das Interieur des Hauses ist geschmackvoll gestaltet und die hochwertigen Materialien sorgen für eine gemütliche Atmosphäre. Wir haben die Zeit am schönen See genossen, der rund um das Haus liegt. Besonders die Küche mit dem herrlichen Blick auf den See hat uns begeistert, und wir haben viele schöne Mahlzeiten am Esstisch genossen. Die Kinder waren begeistert von der Schaukel im Garten und der Feuerstelle, sie haben stundenlang gespielt und gelacht. Bei unserer Ankunft wurde uns köstlicher Wein, eine liebevolle Karte und leckere Schokolade bereitgestellt. Laurens und Maaike waren jederzeit für uns da und standen uns bei Fragen mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Danke ❤️

Dans un joli coin calme de verdure avec plein d'arbres fruitiers prometteurs, la jolie et grande maison de Véronique nous a accueillis chaleureusement. La déco est très sympa, cosy et douillette ; les lits confortables et la cuisine extrêmement bien équipée. Nous venons souvent vers Mons et cette maison sera notre gîte d'élection. Merci Véronique !

hemos pasado un tiempo maravilloso. hemos dado de comer a las gallinas , paseado por el jardín, visto las abejas trabajar y hemos disfrutado de la casa y de sus camas enormes y cómodas. la ducha es muy reconfortante y el salón con su mesa grande permite pasar un gran tiempo en familia. sin duda un lugar para repetir. es como estar en tu casa.

Cathouse is an amazing place! It’s beautiful and cosy. You can find there anything you may need during your stay. It’s really pet friendly. Inge prepared even snacks for the fur guests. We can fully recommend this small house. 🏠🐈‍⬛

Een heel plezierige accomodatie. Mooi ingericht, fijn bed en ook een terras. Bovendien smaakvol ingericht. En een betrokken host Lisbet, die goed communiceert en geïnteresseerd in de ervaringen van de gasten is. Bijzonder aanbevolen.

Mieke and Filip were fantastic hosts, going far beyond what could be expected to ensure our stay was memorable. The booking at a local restaurant was a highlight on our arrival. Mieke made the booking for us when I enquired about places to eat late on a Sunday arrival. The cottage was exactly as described. A very cleverly designed and well- appointed small space with everything needed for an enjoyable stay. A really relaxing home within their large, private, beautifully sunny garden. The area is very safe and all local amenities are within short walking distance. Bus to Bruges stops close by and makes for an easy excursion. Mieke and Filip ensure that your every need is catered for with the attentiveness of experienced , friendly hosts. It was a pleasure to stay with them - and Elle the Belgian Shepherd is a real softie who loves to be stroked. We would definitely return and can thoroughly recommend the Cosy Cottage to others. Filip’s mohitos were outstanding. 😎

3 of us seniors from Ireland stayed here. The number 63 bus is two minute walk and also a convenience store. 63 bus takes you straight to and from central station Brussels. Bus was never crowded. Amaury was a very helpful host, he advised us on where to visit. He answered all my many questions patiently and quickly. The apartment was bright and clean with just basic bedroom furniture. The kitchen is well equipped and living area is lovely. The apartment is on floor 3. There are two lifts but it’s not a difficult climb. Travel for seniors is €8.30 return on any journey inside Belgium provided you return the same day. We explored Brussels, we visited Ghent, Antwerp, Louvain, Namur, Dinant and Mechelen in the 7 days. The trains were spotless and never overcrowded. The cream on the cake was when our MEP Ciaran Mullooly brought us on a 3 hour tour of the European Parliament. Thanks again to Amaury for his kindness and helpful ways. We had a wonderful visit to Belgium

The place was great — very modern and stylish, with everything you could possibly need, and even more. All the amenities were truly amazing and exceeded expectations. It was super comfortable and had a cool vibe overall. The location was okay, 30 minutes walk to the city center. The only small disadvantage was that the apartment was a bit dusty in some areas, but nothing major. All in all, I had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend it!

Wilfried’s place is perfect - beautifully and thoughtfully designed, with a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bedroom and lovely views over the valley. Wilfried and Lisbet were great hosts, very responsive before arrival and helpful during check-in. We will definitely stay here again!

Un superbe séjour à Linkebeek, proche de la forêt et extrêmement calme, dans ce petit duplex très mignon, très bien équipé et fonctionnel, dans une jolie maison ! Facile de se garer, instructions très claires, à 10 minutes à pied de la gare ou du centre (attention ça grimpe !). Bernadette et Laurent ont été adorables, nous avions déjà un programme chargé et n'avons pas eu l'occasion de profiter du jardin et des animations locales mais ça serait un plaisir que de revenir pour tout cela ! Encore merci !

We verbleven hier met veel plezier. Handig om via een code binnen te geraken aan de voordeur. Vriendelijke uitbaters. De ruimtes waren groot en alles was aanwezig. We zaten rustig en voelden ons op ons gemak.

Nous avons passé un agréable week-end chez Patrick et Brigitte. Le logement est facile à trouver grâce aux précieuses indications des hôtes. Très joliment décoré et fonctionnel. Tout est fait pour bien nous accueillir. Merci à Patrick et Brigitte pour la délicieuse attention à notre arrivée. Le fait d'avoir une place de parking privé est très rassurant. Patrick est très réactif et à notre écoute. Nous avons vraiment aimé notre séjour dans cet endroit si calme et joli. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir... Merci beaucoup à vous 😊

Petit coin de paradis, nous y avons passé un super séjour dans une magnifique région. Le cadre est verdoyant et complètement calme en pleine nature. Le jardin avoisinant est magnifique. La cabane est confortable et super bien aménagée. Patrick a été super accueillant. Nous y reviendrons!

Petra’s cottage was a quiet, minimal yet functional house with tasteful decor. It was SO clean and I felt right at home. Petra was a wonderful host, and was flexible with my traveling situation. She offered me amenities that I had forgotten, eggs from their chickens, and local bier.

Wat een fijne plek voor een weekendje weg met vriendinnen. Het communiceren met Evelien verliep snel en vlot. Het huisje was proper, ruim, rustig gelegen en had leuke faciliteiten. Aanrader!

Wat een heerlijke plek! Katia is een fijne host, reageert snel, denkt mee en we mochten zelfs eerder inchecken. Het huis is zeer volledig en met zorg ingericht. Dat maakte dat wij ons meteen thuis voelden. Goed om te weten..Ursel Air Base is echt heel dichtbij. Dus ja, je hoort af en toe een vliegtuigje over komen. Het heeft daarentegen ook wel weer iets. en ze starten om 10.00 en houden rond 18u weer op. Uitslapen kan dus prima😉

Unser Aufenthalt war grundsätzlich sehr schön! Das Innere der Unterkunft ist wirklich gemütlich, stilvoll und mit viel Liebe eingerichtet – genau so, wie man sich eine Hütte im Wald vorstellt. Man fühlt sich sofort heimisch und wohl. Von außen war der erste Eindruck etwas ungewohnt, vielleicht auch, weil das Haus gerade erst aus dem „Winterschlaf“ erwacht ist – ebenso wie die Umgebung. Die Zufahrtsstraße war allerdings eine echte Herausforderung. Wer absolute Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit sucht, wird sich hier aber sehr wohlfühlen. Für uns war die Lage etwas zu abgeschieden, da wir auch Ausflüge nach Antwerpen und Gent geplant hatten. Jede Fahrt in die nächste größere Stadt dauerte ca. 30 Minuten – das sollte man einfach im Hinterkopf behalten. Wer allerdings plant, sich für ein paar Tage komplett zurückzuziehen, ist hier goldrichtig. Ein Punkt, den man ebenfalls bedenken sollte: Das Wasser kommt aus einem Brunnen, was mit einem typischen Grundwasser-Geruch einhergeht. 4/5 Sternen

Très bon séjour, les hôtes sont super accueillant et très réactifs par message. Le bien est conforme au photo. Nous étions dans notre petit cocon en pleine nature.
