“This was our second trip to this little slice of heaven and we are already talking about our next one. If you are looking for a peaceful, beautiful and just altogether amazing getaway please don't look any further. You will be entertained by the wildlife, the trails through the woods, the beautiful lake (whether on the dock or on the pontoon), the amazing hot tub under the stars......I mean I could go on and on as to why we highly rate this place and why we don't hesitate to tell our friends about it. Just an amazing experience that we will be repeating every year at the minimum!”
Renovated to resemble the original build over 100 years ago. Relax near the wood burning stove in the structure of shaved timbers. Hike around the creek bed on the 20 acre parcel or for the more adventurous the adjoining 50,000 acres of DNR land.
“The pictures do the architectural features of this cabin no justice! The modern features, laid back decor and fantastic book collection made our stay very welcoming. This cozy cabin is in the perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature and family. If you need a getaway from the hectic city life, this charming log cabin will not let you down.”
*Completely remodeled in 2018, this cabin has 130 feet of direct frontage on the Snake River. Gorgeous wooded acreage gives privacy and the up north feeling, yet is less than 1 hour from Minneapolis, and 10 minutes from historic Pine City, a great place to shop and grab a bite to eat. Use our kayaks or tubes to float down to the St. Croix River, or hang a fishing line out and see what happens!
“Tracy's place is AMAZING. The home is super clean and well-equipped with everything you'll need for a comfortable stay. And the walls of windows looking out at the river are fabulous!! It's super secluded (other than one friendly neighbor) and super beautiful. Having the tubes and kayaks to use was incredible and we loved that the river felt so secluded, too -- whether you head up or down the river, there are not many houses in sight, just water and trees and blue skies above. It's truly a little piece of heaven!!”
