A perfect blend of farmhouse and cottage, you’ll love my place because of the cozy white cottage decor, mountain views, and quiet setting. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers. "The view is amazing and it is so peaceful to just sit on the deck and watch the sunset over the mountains." Close to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Blue Ridge Parkway, Nantahala River, WCU, hiking, and waterfalls. 10 minutes from Dillsboro and Sylva, NC. Close to Bryson City, Franklin, & Cherokee.
“This cottage is PERFECT for a couple getaway! The space is decorated so cute and the space is so cozy, we actually stayed in and made our meals because of this. Mary Anne was very quick with her responses if we needed anything but she is so thoughtful with the cottage that everything we needed was there! The view was great, we took a nap in the hammock and had a small fire one night! We will definitely try to come back one day!”
The Cute Cottage Above the Creek is an ideal getaway destination. Sitting up on the hillside with a great view down onto the creek. The hot tub is a great place to relax after a long day hiking or to warm up after playing or casting a line down in the creek. Tastefully decorated with a fire pit just out back, swing along the creek side, corn hole, satellite tv, internet as well as the peaceful secluded setting too enjoy when you not out exploring all the Great Smoky Mountains have to offer.
“The cottage was wonderfully cozy and so charming! The pictures just don't do it justice! There was no central heating, but the heater on the wall and the gas stove in the living room provided more than enough heat to keep us warm during our stay. You can really tell the place has been well cared for and we loved the way the rustic charm was kept throughout the entire cottage. The cottage is also filled with windows that provide a ton of natural light and more than enough comfy seating throughout! The location is up a small access road off of the main road and is somewhat easy to find, but definitely make sure you read the directions the owner provides rather than relying completely on GPS (it's especially dark and hard to see on the road at night). The street has a few other houses but was private enough even during the winter and the trees would provide a lot of extra privacy the rest of the year. It's definitely a nice, private area out in the country that is still decently close to several towns. The (satellite) internet was also good enough to at least access the internet for searching nearby amenities or communicating with others, but we would suggest downloading movies/shows before you go rather than streaming. That being said, the Dish satellite TV was provided in both the living room and loft bedroom so we had more than enough to watch! The TVs were smart TVs too so you could always connect and stream from your phone. Although, it's also the perfect place to disconnect/unplug and just relax! The bedrooms (including the loft) were very spacious, and the loft itself had a ton of seating space for playing board games, watching movies, etc. The kitchen was very well stocked, with utensils, skillets, a crock pot, baking sheets, dishware, a mixer, a toaster, a coffee maker, and even bags/foil/plastic wrap! It was an added bonus that the cottage had a dishwasher too, despite it's smaller size, and a large sink for easy washing! The bathroom was nice and large, with hot water that lasted surprisingly long and lots of shelving for any extra storage you may need. We didn't use the laundry room but it looked large and nice to use - definitely an added bonus when on vacation! The hot tub was absolutely amazing! It's placed just under a clearing in the trees (out on the back deck) and we were able to watch the stars each night while sitting in the hot tub! It's very clean and spacious, and we enjoyed the fact that it had speakers to connect to so that we could quietly play our music while we relaxed. It kept us nice and warm even during the cold February nights! We didn't spend too much time in the yard since it was a bit cold out, but we did spend a couple of hours sitting down by the creek on the nice swing. The creek is decently loud, but not too much, and provides a wonderful background noise whenever you're sitting outside. It may even be fun to fish from later in the year! We really can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was! Nate was an excellent host who responded very quickly to any of our questions and all of the stuff provided in the cottage was new and clean! We loved and greatly appreciated the added bonus of rose petals and chocolates on the upstairs bed (arranged in a heart) since we were visiting for Valentine's weekend! We went for a quick weekend getaway and would recommend it for anyone looking to relax in the mountains while still remaining decently close to multiple towns and the National Park! We rarely return to a place as we like to try new locations each time we go on vacation, but this will certainly be on our list to return to!”

“My husband really enjoys staying at David and Suzanne’s place. On this occasion we were very appreciative as the app failed us and didn’t save our reservation. Suzanne saved the day by cleaning the unit last minute and helping us book the stay. We are thankful and will stay again and again! The location is very convenient to Sylva and Western Carolina University.”
