Enjoy your relaxing stay at North Star Slumber, a new cozy cottage built just for guests. Located on an established 1.5-acre apple orchard on a quiet dead-end road, you can also find beautiful blooming flowers and trees (depending on the season), and wildlife as well.
“Marcus’s place was a beautiful place! It was sparkling clean and the decor was gorgeous ! It was so peaceful and quiet. We loved being close to the x-country ski trails and snowshoeing . We appreciated the fruit and water and all the amenities that came with the place.”
Downhill skiing is prime. I am located close to ABR so if you are a cross country skier this is the place for you. I am right on a snowmobile trail next to the North pole bar. Do you enjoy 40 acres of potential snowshoeing? Options are endless. I am a 10-15 minute drive to the local downhill ski hills. Being 5 miles from downtown Hurley and from downtown Ironwood, this is a ideal location for anyone. Kitchen, dining room, living room is shared space. Its quiet and peaceful. Great choice
“Sydney was an absolute gem. We had car troubles which made getting there difficult, but she was incredibly helpful in assisting us with check-in and even going as far as to drive with us to show us an alternative route to get to her place since our rental car was not doing well in the snow. We aren't much for conversation but honestly Sydney engaged us appropriately and we had such a nice time chatting with her by the fireplace. She honestly went above and beyond to make things comfortable for us given the issues we had initially and also her place is dog friendly which is a major plus! Hospitality aside, her home is beautiful and clean! There was ample space for parking and rooms were spacious and while we didn't do much more than make tea, her kitchen was available to us! We will definitely be back in summer months if possible. This place is everything.”
One of the newest cabins on the lake, this cabin is nestled into the side of the mountain with a large wrap around deck overlooking the lake. Biking, hiking nearby trails, zooming through the woods on ATV's, fishing and exploring the many waterfalls in the areas are just some of the activities you could plan. The lake is just 100' from the cabin and kayaks are provided to enjoy the quiet, no wake, Weber Lake.
“The cabin is a gem - exactly as depicted, nestled into a hillside amid gorgeous woods overlooking a small lake. It has some nice high-end touches, from the spacious double shower in the master suite to radiant heating throughout. We arrived with no agenda other than escaping busy lives, and it was perfect for that. We hiked nearby trails and waterfalls, biked some of the nicest trails we've encountered in the state, and took a day trip to Madeline Island. We kayaked around the lake, played our guitars and sang without bothering anyone and just relaxed in the serenity of such a nice setting. Kim was a wonderful host. There was a small glitch with the heat and she responded within seconds with an instant solution. She provided excellent instructions for check-in, especially given how remote the location is, and the cabin is well stocked with games and DVDs. We walked in to find a bottle of wine and snacks waiting for us on that first night, and the whole experience exceeded our expectations. It helped that we were there as the leaves were changing color - it was stunningly beautiful. Highly recommend!!”
