Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Hatteras Island

This was a great rental for our family’s first trip to the Outer Banks. We brought our three young kids and dog; everyone was comfortable and had a great time. The home was well-stocked with everything we needed. We loved the hot tub and the short 10 minute walk to the ocean. Michael was a great host! Will definitely plan on staying here again!

Our stay was lovely! Everything in the house is quality. Comfortable beds, quality kitchen supplies, convenient ice machine, lovely decks. Beauty in the details inside and outside the house. From a hose to wash your sandy feet before entry, baby gate at the stair, a wooden tray to carry your coffee and breakfast to the porch with views of the ocean, to throw blankets in every room for snuggling under while watching your favorite movie on the many selections. The dogs were comfy and so were the two kids. Puzzles and board games in the cupboard, beach towels and muslin bath towels to dry off. Loved everything about our stay. Steps away from the beach at any time and laying on the roof deck at night to watch the stars. Mark was extremely responsive, sending a short video on how to use the nest HVAC. Super comfortable pillows for both back and side sleepers. Blackout curtains helped for those who need them. We slept with the windows open every night enjoying the waves. Had a magical trip.

The perfect OBX cottage with the most stunning sunsets! We couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to spend time as a family! Everything was extremely clean and comfortable. Our host was quick to answer any questions. This will definitely be my go to OBX rental!

Staying at Ryan's place was easy from start to finish. The house is located in an excellent location, two blocks to the beach, and adjacent to all things Avon. It's roomy enough, has great deck space, and is has fresh modern design. Clean, well appointed kitchen. Ryan was easy to communicate with and super helpful. We'll rent again here for sure!

Our long weekend stay was peaceful and just what we needed to recharge. The beach chairs and boogie boards were nice to have for the beach! The walk to the beach was a little confusing at first, but once we found the right path it was very quick. Overall we loved our stay, especially the sleepover environment with the loft!

We had an awesome stay! The place was clean and cozy. It was just minutes from a quiet beach. The host was very friendly and responded very quickly. We had no issues during our stay. This was a lovely place and It was our first time staying in The Outer Banks!

Clean space within walking distance to not only the pool but also the beach which was awesome for the kids! Definitely bring a wagon for the beach goodies and cooler to camp out with the waves for the day. The outdoor shower was awesome for keeping sand out and rinsing things off before putting them back in the car!

This home is beautiful. The layout provides privacy and lots of opportunities to spend time together as a family. There were many extras that made us feel so at home: tons of spices and a fully stocked kitchen, beach cart, chairs, etc. We loved having our coffee on the deck in the morning listening to the ocean. In the evening you can see the sunset over the sound of walk less than five minutes to a park and watch it hit the horizon. Sarah and Victor were quick to respond and clearly put together a space with guests in mind. Plus the most comfortable beds in any vacation property I've ever used!

Thank you for everything! The only problem we had was an outside deck blind blew down during the night, but it really didn’t affect the trip and didn’t look damaged..my mom left a note about it I believe…otherwise, great experience overall and would definitely recommend

Well where can I start from booking to leaving the property me and my family received 5 star service from Chris. The house was clean the heated pool was clean and warm. The house was very welcoming and overall one of the best properties I have ever stayed during the 10 years of doing Airbnb. Chris is very friendly very understanding and a great host who makes sure to answer every question. Chris let us check out at a later time to accommodate our family and also mad sure to check in with us multiple times during the stay. Can’t wait to visit again.

Place was just as advertised and fit our needs perfectly for a family of 4. Frank and Frans is a two minute walk so that was convenient since we were there to fish. There’s a restaurant right next door and everything in Avon is close to Food Lion. Family walked to the beach one night without me and made it back….so must be an easy trip lol! Overall….great place if your a family of 6 or less.

Great location, perfect walk to the beach, almost like oceanfront. Great hang out space and kitchen. Lots of extra blankets, fan for the white noise people. Great outdoor shower and basketball hoop. Walk to the beach was quick and not too challenging. Clean pool and hot tub!!! Would definitely come back!!!

Dawn was very welcoming..directed us to local food..which was very good..the house was very comfortable and very well stocked. It is centrally located to whatever you may need or want. Recommend most highly.

Seventh Heaven was the perfect vacation spot for my dad to take us (adult) kids and grandchildren to stay! We had everything we could ever need for making home meals in the kitchen. Plenty of towels and linens, extra blankets. Pictures do not even do this place justice! It’s beautiful. So spacious, and lots of room to spread out and separate when needed. Lookout, game room, pool & hot tub were excellent!! Had so much fun! Beach access was easy and right over the dune. Will recommend every time I can for an OBX vacation. 😍😍😍 We can’t thank you enough Theresa!

Our off-season stay at this Airbnb in Waves, Outer Banks, was fantastic, even with the mix of rain and wind! The house itself was truly one-of-a-kind, featuring a unique half-dome architectural design that gave it a cozy yet spacious feel. With two beach-vibe comfortable bedrooms and a mezzanine loft, there was plenty of room to relax while still feeling connected to the open, airy layout. The curved ceilings and large windows access to the outdoor deck added so much character, making it a truly memorable place to stay. Our hosts, Riley and Gaby were incredibly accommodating and gave great local recommendations for outdoor activities and dining options. Even when we stayed in, we were comfortable thanks to the spacious layout, cozy furnishings, and well-equipped kitchen. We had an amazing time and will definitely be back. If you’re looking for a pet-friendly, architecturally unique getaway with beach access, this is the perfect gem in OBX!

We LOVED our stay at 3 Angel's Haven! This was our second time around and once again, Nicky could not have been nicer. There are six of us - three couples - so the room layout, each with its own bathroom, works perfectly for us. A short walk and we're at the beach. A short drive and we have our choice of restaurants, grocery, and fun, outdoor activities. We choose to come to Avon in the winter for a quieter vacation and we're coming from Wisconsin, so the colder temps were still 30 degrees warmer than home. We will be back.

Just Enough was that and so much more. Beautiful area, super porch for viewing the canal, really comfortable house. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking up some great fresh seafood. The seafood shop was just up the road by the way. Restaurants and grocery were all close by. Evenings on the porch were such a super way to relax after beaching, biking and kayaking. Really loved our stay

Great location, easy to walk to the beach or the path on main road to local restaurants. Beautiful sunsets from the upper deck looking towards the sound and sunrise if you walk down to the beach path. The beach was beautiful and uncrowded. The beds were comfy and we had everything we needed for a long weekend. Bonus that we didn’t have to rent linens and towels as with other beach rentals. In fact, the beach chairs & beach towels meant less I had to pack. Though the yard is not fenced, there is was plenty of nice grass for the pup and the kids to play ball in. We are looking forward to coming back next season.

definitely worth the stay. walking distance to anything you need. the beach is right off the driveway! excellent fishing spot as well! (caught a 27" red drum in the surf as well as a whiting and a flounder) the house in itself is well set up to accomodate the family and all of its needs. we had a party of 9 myself my significant other and 7 children ages 20 - 7 . everyone was comfortable and had a blast! will definitely book again!

My sweetheart and I traveled to Frisco for a long weekend away with our small dog and found Taylor’s place to be exactly what we were hoping for. We loved the fact that it is back on a quiet cul-de-sac in the trees, and we are not staring at other houses because we tend to like to be in nature and not around a lot of people. this space was perfect for the two of us, and felt much bigger than it looked because of the high ceilings, skylights, and nice clean surroundings. It was lovely to have an outdoor shower shower with warm, running water this time of year to wash our feet off, and I loved how they had even a little ceiling fan over the bed. The large couch was so comfortable to lounge on when we weren’t at the beach, and we found everything quite peaceful. It had a decent fridge and we brought a little cook stove with us so we could have espresso and eggs on the beach in the mornings. Lovely weekend, Taylor, thank you!
