We have just moved into this very large home and wish to share it with fellow travellers. The home is found in a farming district surrounded by paddocks with grazing cows, bird life and kangaroos, emus and koalas just across the road. We are nestled between pristine coastline of Warrnambool and Port Fairy and our favourite pick, Tower Hill Nature Reserve. You will enjoy the peace and quiet surrounds that our cherished gardens provide and feel most welcome as you share our home.
“It‘s a lovely and huge house. Very comfortable and clean. The room was exactly as it is described and on the pictures visible. Very friendly and helpful hosts and breakfast is included in the really good price! We stayed 1 night and enjoyed it a lot! Bed was super comfortable:)”
Built over one hundred years ago, The Grey House has been sympathetically renovated with all modern amenities. We have designed the home to be comfortable and relaxing, with spaces to socialise or have quiet time. The decor is eclectic with a mix of modern and older pieces and artwork. Snuggle up by the fire with a book or DVD from our extensive library. Our outdoor space is the perfect place to dine or just watch the sun go down across the paddocks. Continental breakfast is provided.
“From the moment arrived at the Grey House and walked to the front door, we knew we were in for a treat. The house is beautifully appointed. Wonderful bedrooms with special touches. The dining and kitchen area are very well appointed, everything you need for cooking up a storm. Everything was spotlessly clean. The bathroom and laundry included everything you need for comfort and convenience. Lots of beautiful art works, local photos adorn the walls. Great dvd's, a fantastic choice of books to read. A perfect wood fire was set up for us and quickly warmed the house as it had become cool outside. There was lots of information about touring the local area. The worst part was having to leave today. The Grey House has a very welcoming atmoshere, and is very stylishly and tastefully decorated. We will certainly be back. Thank you Gillian and Rick.”
A blue stone house circa 1865 situated in the countryside town of Penshurst. Madigans has been lovingly renovated in keeping with the historic nature of the building. Come to enjoy the peaceful surrounds of South West Victoria. Located 20 minutes from Dunkeld, the "Gateway to the Grampians" and 50 minutes from the Great Ocean Rd.
“Photos don’t do this beauty justice. A really cosy yet spacious haven that we used as our base for a long weekend hiking in the Grampians. Beautifully renovated with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing break. Catherine and her husband went above and beyond lighting the fire both days for our return. Thanks for sharing your beautiful property!”
