Historically Gilleleje is an old fishing village and it was here that many Jews were transported to Sweden during World War II. Gilleleje Church was a waiting place for Jews until they could be transported. In 1943, 75 Jews were caught by the Gestapo on the church ceiling after a snitch had informed the Germans. Everywhere there are monuments of historical events. Every year there are various festivals in Gilleleje - "Hill" Festival, Harbour Festival, Jazz at the port and The Herring Day. Small nice apartment with kitchenette, and living room on the ground floor and bedroom on the 1st floor. It has a private entrance and a private bathroom. There is a washing room where it is possible to wash clothes, wash dishes, and for light cooking in the airfryer. The apartment is located in a long time on a 4 length farm anno 1875, which is being set up. There is a beautiful garden overlooking its own lake, and wide expanses right in the middle of Nordsjaellands Naturpark. In the garden there is a beautiful orangery where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.

Charming house in a great location. The house has 3 rooms and a loft as well as bathroom and kitchen. It is sorrounded by a very nice garden and has access to its own south facing terrace with garden furniture. Copenhagen and Elsinore can be reached in 20 minutes, and Rungsted harbor with many restaurants and a nice beach within minutes. Louisiana Art Museum, Kronborg Castle are nearby. The hosts live in an independent house in the same place and are available to give you a perfect vacation.
