Vacation rentals with a kayak in High Rock Lake

The best rental house I’ve ever booked. There was nothing missing. I appreciated that they provided basic cooking supplies like oil, salt, pepper, etc and they provided hand soap, dish washing liquid, etc. that many other rentals do not provide. The extra towels for the lake and hot tub were a huge help. If I had to pick one negative to point out to renters, it would be that if you have kids under 3 you will have to watch them very closely with the open stairs. But the rest of house, grounds, furniture, etc are all kid friendly. The house and grounds are beautiful, just as described. The host is very responsive and helpful. I highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.

We had a fun time and wished we could stay longer. Greg’s home is really clean and has fun games and a well-stocked kitchen. We would love to come again.

We used the place for a songwriting retreat. The wide open living spaces are great for group activities. The kitchen had everything I needed to prepare meals for my team. It was me and 8 ladies from my worship team. The only complaint they gave me was that it was hard for 6 people to share 1 bathroom, but they all really enjoyed the stay.

This place was perfect for my family. We had a great time. The only thing we hated was the steap drive way. It’s not made for older people to get down. The house was beautiful and great view of the lake. Kids enjoyed the dock and playing in the water. Really nice dock and lots of room.

My daughter wanted to have a little cabin like feeling get away for her 18th birthday with her family and college friends. Once my husband and I came across Heather’s home we loved it and booked right away. A few mins before we arrived we had a little issue with a road rage driver, making us a little uncomfortable but once we made it up to the house we feel in love again. From the game room, to making some hotdogs and hamburgers on the grill, to then making a little camp fire to make some s’more and then catching a beautiful tan on the dock while the kids were kayaking, all made my day and my daughter’s 18th birthday a success. Besides the little uncomfortable moment we had driving there, which that was out of anyone’s hands, my daughter and her friends had an amazing time there. I am looking forward to going back for the summer. Heather was an amazing host and responded quickly to any needs we needed or concerns. Definitely the best trip we had so far!!! Thank you Heather.

We had a great stay! Katherine was responsive and helpful with any questions we had. The place was a great location and our kids enjoyed the lake!

Wonderful homes that allowed us to celebrate Christmas together. We want to come back in the summer.

Our stay at the Blue Heron Bungalow was great! It was as described. The home is well appointed with all of the comforts of home. The bed was super comfy and the sheets and pillows were top notch. The view from the master bedroom was really pretty. We loved visiting Stony mountain winery and the Five Points restaurant was great. We also ate at Tillery Tradition which was very good and a nice atmosphere. Next time we will bring our golf clubs. Thanks to our host and hostess for being so responsive and providing a wonderful experience!

Terra was super responsive, but we really didn’t need much, everything was set up wonderfully. Being able to rent the water toys was such an amazing addition. We will definitely stay here again when we have another family reunion!

Absolutely loved this place. So peaceful and clean! The paddle boat was definitely the best part. I will definitely book again!

If I could rate 10 stars I would, this place was beautiful. We fell in love with it right away. Our dogs and little toddler loved the fenced in yard. They were able to run and play without any care in the world, of course making the parents stress free. Everything was very easy to use to the kayaks, hot tub and getting in and out. The kayaks were magical in the water. The host was very responsive and helped with anything we needed. We didn’t want to leave that was the most disappointing thing. We wish we could stay forever! Definitely will be back and will forever be our vacation spot. Definitely got yourself some loyal guest!

This lake house was just perfect! From beginning to end, the stay was awesome. The house has everything you could possibly want or need. We looooved the outdoor space! Beautiful deck with lots of sitting room, lights, and fans. The hot tub was so awesome! Super nice fire pit area. A nice dock extending into deep lake water. We visited several local towns around the lake and were blown away with how friendly everyone was. We got all of our groceries at Perry’s Produce, a local produce stand; including meats and even butter and coffee creamer. We went to a vineyard nearby, and Morrow Mountain Stare Park for a beautiful hike with breathtaking views of the mountains. The area and the beautiful, cozy house with lots of amenities made this lake vacation one of the best we’ve had!

Great little place! Easy to get to, far enough out to be quiet but not too far from the main roads. It was nice to sit out on the swings and relax.

This was the best Airbnb that I have ever stayed in. The host was very communicative before and after check in. Check in was simple and flexible. The description of this home understates how wonderful it is. From our first view of the quaint cottage look of the landscaped yard and picturesque front porch, we were impressed. The inside of the house was clean, beautifully decorated and well appointed. The towels and bedding were all top quality. The beds were extremely comfortable. The view of the lake from the main bedroom was fantastic. The best part of the home, however, was the back porch and multiple layers of decking overlooking the water. All of the outdoor space was furnished with sturdy comfortable furniture. There was a grill and a couple of fire tables. The docks were set up for relaxation and entertainment. The home provided kayaks, a place to fish, and even an outdoor TV. Indoors there were plenty of board games, puzzles and books to enjoy. This is a super place!

We always love staying here:) Accommodations are as advertised. Easily sleeps 6+. Newly upgraded grill and dock. Responsive owner. MUCH cleaner than most "pet friendly" airbnbs... and the visiting dogs from next door are so friendly and polite. Best fishing we've found in NC!

We had such a wonderful time at Linda’s home! The spot couldn’t be more beautiful, we used the kayaks multiple times and my dog was very comfortable in her home. It’s well equipped with everything you could need to cook a meal, and the beds were all very comfortable. Would love to come back!

Gorgeous cabin, high end finishes, more amenities than expected. Please take care of this beautiful home, the host and property are top tier. Amazing stay.

I had an issue at check in and Carolyn was delightful and extremely responsive in helping me get it resolved. We accidentally left some important items and she also helped us get them shipped back to us. On top of how beautiful the lake and the property is, it was a wonderful stay!

Wow. What a beautiful place! The pictures don’t do this home justice. The inside is just beautiful and cozy, and truly made us feel like we were in a cabin up in the mountains, tucked away from the outside world. The outside of the house was truly fantastic! From the deck, to all the open space in the back and the gorgeous water views, it was the perfect place to relax any time of day. Our kids didn’t even want to go anywhere else because the backyard area was such a fun place to play and explore… and the adults all loved lounging on the back deck while the kids played! The house had everything we needed and more, and even the kitchen was outfitted with everything we could need for our weekend away. Every part of the house felt cozy and welcoming and we only wished we could have stayed longer. If ever in the area again, hands down this is where we would want to stay!

Peaceful location just minutes from hiking trailheads. We enjoyed the firepit, listening to the birds, the cozy bed, and the fantastic outdoor shower. We hope to return sometime.

Very nice place to stay and I felt right at home. Perfect location to have privacy, but also close enough to pick up anything you may need from town. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.
