Great place to stay in Hakone, a great opportunity to stay on tatami mattresses and a beautiful space.

The host is very responsive and friendly. Check-in instructions are very clear! The house is clean and beautiful. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood and has everything you need for your weekend getaway/family trip to Karuizawa!

We were met by our host to a lovely offering of Japanese tea and biscuits which was a great way to start our stay in Kyoto. The instructions to the property were clear and easy to follow. The property is located in a great area easily walking distance to all different bars, restaurants and train station. The property was exactly as picture and very clean. Would 100% recommend this property for your stay in Kyoto

A beautiful house with a stunning view of Fuji-san. 10 mins walk to Oshino Hakkai. As long as you’re okay with using a public onsen for washing, this place is great

This is a wonderful place to stay especially if you have a dog. It’s really modern and fully of windows to bring in the sunshine. The bath was really nice as well.

the apartment is very clean, homey, with great bed on tatami flooring. i really enjoyed my stay here and this is definitely one of the best highlights of our trip. the hosts are very friendly and caring, even informing us about the cold weather changes. thank you Syuji & Sachi for accommodating and let us experience this modern japanese-style apartment! we would definitely come back & recommend this place to our friends & family when visiting Takayama! 😊

Spacious and comfy! We loved the tatami lounge with poofs to relax on. Very conveniently located and close to a tattoo friendly hot spring. We were also saved by the umbrellas that are there for guests to use. Great value for money!

The space felt cozy and welcoming, like staying at a relative’s home. Our host was incredibly kind and warm, and thanks to them, we had a truly special time as a family. If you enjoy a relaxed pace of travel, you’ll love the location. We really enjoyed exploring the neighborhood. We’d love to come back if we ever visit Takamatsu again!

Loved my stay here. it was my first time using a traditional floor mattress and it was very comfortable. very clean and quiet.

Everything matched the description. Getting there was was easy. Instructions were also clear. Place is complete with amenities. The fridge, microwave and electric kettle were very useful to us. It was spacious for us, a family of 4. We even had a souvenir from the owner which was very sweet.

The room was clean and very easy to check in.I will choose Osaka next time.

We had a wonderful stay at Koichi’s place. A living room facing forest and all the setting was beautiful. A perfect get away from a city. Koichi was friendly and kind in every way.

All of the information listed is correct They also responded quickly and kindly to inquiries Cross the road and Lake Biwa!It's the best location There are many rooms and beds, so I think it is ideal for a group of about 3 families There is only one bath, so if you have a large family, you can plan a nearby hot spring from the beginning. We have a lot of equipment, condiments, etc. You can kindly check it in advance. I had a really good time.

This spot is very peaceful and the beach nearby is super lovely, we had a car with us while staying so it was easier to get around. We loved spending time in the house it was a very comfortable stay!

The house is just as special and welcoming as the photos look! Gorgeous design and attention to detail. Very memorable stay with the vinyl records and wood burning fireplace. Matt and Maya were exceptional hosts and really went out of their way to help us figure out taxi situations as we had forgotten to get an international driver's license. Don't forget this if you haven't already applied for one as you can't rent a car in Japan without one! Enjoy the stay!
