This apartment is attached to our family home in the Peak District National Park. It is self contained with a private entrance, a conservatory and ample parking. It is close to the villages of Hope and Castleton. Great for walking and the outdoors. Also half an hour's drive from the spa town of Buxton and the beautiful town of Bakewell. We are close to a small railway station where the trains run between Sheffield and Manchester. The next train stop West is Edale (start of the Pennine Way).

Torside is the closest dwelling to Peak Cavern in the stunning and 'other worldly' Peak Cavern Gorge. The Gorge is a SSSI and one of the Seven Wonders of the Peak. A further three renowned show caverns, 7 pubs, cafes and shops are within walking distance. The scenery is dramatic and ever changing as the weather rolls in over Mam Tor from the West. Temperature inversions create outstanding conditions for photography. The cottage is vernacular and decorated to English Heritage standards.

The Nook - an idyllic rural bolt hole...

A sleeps two, barn conversion with original beams. The Nook is located at Back Tor Farm in the Edale Valley. We welcome all enquiries of three nights or more but do prefer Friday changeover dates. It is an essential part of our hosting terms that the person responsible for booking our property makes their full name and mobile number available to us in the Airbnb booking process. 3rd Party bookings are not acceptable. Nestled within the Hope Valley, Hathersage offers exceptional walks from the front door ranging from circular 3 mile strolls to all-day hikes. Rokeby Cottage is a 5 minute walk from the village centre which hosts a great range of excellent pubs, cafes and shops.
