Come and stay in our beautifully finished, tin shepherds hut at the bottom of our garden. We are located in the rolling countryside with extensive views over the vale of York. After a day of exploring this AONB, there’s nothing like cooking tea over the fire pit followed by a dip under the stars in our rustic hot tub. Fall into a fresh clean bed and wake up to the sound of the dawn chorus. Our bathroom barn provides all your needs for a morning freshen up! See you soon.

The hot tub was not quite up and going when we arrived which was a shame not to get into it in the day light - but was scorching and ready to go as Susi described three hours later. We enjoyed a very comfortable stay (even with the furious wind!) and would definately recommend!”

It’s the perfect retreat for a short break. Paul and Maggi’s hospitality is second to none. They are thoughtful and the little hamper was a wonderful bonus. Fantastic communication and plenty of info of the local area. The wildlife is beautiful and there are plenty of walks nearby (and if you’re in a car you can easily get to North Yorkshire and York). Take a good book and some nice wine and snuggle in with the fire. You couldn’t really ask for more. Highly recommended.”
This shepherds hut is in a gorgeous rural location. The hut has electricity and hot water, it will be a cosy and warm place to stay all year round. There is a recently added hot tub, to relax in and soak up the gorgeous view. A fire pit and an outdoor table, plus cooking facilities in the hut. It is in a romantic and peaceful location. We are close to Castle Howard, Yorkshire Lavender and many other wonderful places to visit. Fabulous for keen walkers and popular area for cyclists.
