“Beautiful location looking over Lake George. It was pretty easy to get to and Tom was great at communicating before we arrived to let us know which road to use because one of the roads was flooded because of a recent rain storm. The house is gorgeous and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Tom waited for us even though we arrived in the evening to show us around the property. We would love to stay here again in the future!”

“We drove from Philly - so going up through the mountains was already a great relief from hectic city life. But then we parked in front of the quaint lakeside cabin and were immediately astounded by the night sky lit by hundreds of stars - we don't get this in the city. When we settled in inside, we were greeted with glimpses of lake from the window, but the dock below provided fantastic panoramic views. The cabin itself was so cozy, and the beds were actually quite comfy. The cabin is just a 15 minute drive from Lake George Village, so we drove down to get breakfast at The Bank Cafe, an old bank turned into a cafe. Great waffles. We shopped a little at the village store, and stopped in at the distillery and the winery. The cherry pinot noir and the blueberry red blend were delicious! We were also so thankful that Jen and Chris (Jen's brother) let us use their kayaks! I completely capsized (twice!), but thankfully they also provided life jackets - a must on a lake this blustery. Some friendly neighbors barbecuing outside saw us, and after a good laugh, let me dock and reset my boat. Chris was also so kind to take us out on his boat, the Little Chief (no PFD's needed - except for his dog :D), showing us the majestic 360-degree views of mountains at sunset. Overall, Jen and Chris's cabin made for a fantastic relaxing vacation, and we will definitely be back!”

“We returned to Doreen's place for a little winter weekend getaway for the second year in a row, and again, everything was wonderful! Doreen welcomed us and our well-behaved fur babies back with open arms. She is friendly, communicative and overall a great host. The cabin was just as we remembered it with the bonus of some beautiful updates, including a completely redone bathroom! It is stocked with everything you need and our favorite feature is of course the pellet stove! The location is perfect, as it is quiet and private, yet very close to the shops and restaurants of Bolton Landing, about 15 minutes from Lake George and only an hour away from the High Peaks. It was the perfect spot for a weekend of hiking, exploring and relaxing. We would gladly stay here again, and recommend Doreen as a host to any guest!”
