A rural retreat on the edge of the Broads in the beautiful Waveney Valley. Just 30 mins drive from fabulous east coast beaches and the historic city of Norwich. This holiday location is perfect for relaxing and enjoying local walks and amazing countryside or getting "out and about" for day trips. Enjoy miles of off road footpaths across the beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk border. Local market towns of Bungay and Beccles have many attractions with Beccles being the "Gateway to the Norfolk Broads"
“We had a great stay at David's cottage. The cottage was super clean, comfortable, and well furnished, conveniently located near a pub and dog walking area. We hugely appreciated the drinks and food that David left for us as we had had 6 hour car journey with a 5 months old baby and didn't fancy a trip to the shops for getting dinner. David has been very quick to reply to all messages and was very helpful in allowing us to have a slightly earlier check in on the day of arrival. Would certainly recommend David's cottage for anyone visiting the area.”
One Bedroom annex with own entrance with it's own private kitchen, bedroom, hairdryer & towels supplied, bathroom and living room in the centre of Beccles. Annex utility room with washing machine, dishwasher, ironing board and iron. Secure off road parking for one medium car. The town centre is a few hundred yards away, with pubs & restaurants as well as numerous shops. Guests must like dogs, we have 3 small, very friendly, they have access to the courtyard where the Annex has its entrance.
“Excellent stay and great hosts! Richard and David were fantastic and went out of their way to get a high chair for our little one making our life much easier. The apartment is stylishly finished, was immaculate and we were welcomed with the heating on, fresh milk and orange juice in the fridge as well as several other little touches that made us feel at home. Great location a two minute walk into the very heart of Beccles. Excellent value for money. Thanks again Richard and David!”
We are in the middle of Suffolk countryside, surrounded by fields with amazing views, colourful sunrises & sunsets. There is a maze of footpath & permitted walks right on our door-step. Ideal for that quiet week-end. Spectacular thunderstorms sometimes occur as the cloud formations follow the river valleys. During these storms rain-bows appear. We've not yet found a pot of gold though! At night if the sky is cloudless you can see all the stars & spot the well-known constellations.
“A cosy, beautiful place to stay which feels like a true escape. The annex is very well designed, warm, spacious and spotlessly clean. The little farm is lovely with horses, chickens and Boudicca the dog! We felt so welcome, loved the extra touches like the fresh eggs and breakfast items. Would definitely return in future!”
