“We had such a relaxing weekend at this perfect little cabin. The cabin is situated amongst rolling hills, and sitting on the porch with coffee in the peaceful quiet was one of our favorite things. The cabin itself is very nice, comfortable bed in the loft, and cute kitchen area. We played board games at the small table by the window, and sat on the comfortable couch in the evenings. Though it could be described as rustic, I would say that we were impressed by how nice and updated the cabin was. Also felt like there was lots of space for 2 people. We hope to come back in the future for another wonderful weekend away!”
Rustic cabin next to a spring and herb gardens. Simple, private space with electricity. Outhouse and indoor hand washing sink. Grill is available. Driving up to the cabin is possible. We are 2 miles from Wildcat Mountain State Park and 7 miles from the Kickapoo Valley Reserve. Great for hiking, getting unhooked from electronics and back to Nature. Echo Valley Farm Bakery is open on weekends May - October, 9 am - 4pm.
“The rustic spring cabin was exactly what we needed; the perfect balance of privacy, solitude (including limited to no cell service which was a blessing), and hospitality. We loved the convenience of the electricity, sink, and spring water in the cabin as well as the ability to drive up right to the door. The compost toilet / outhouse was close and clean, and the outdoor shower across the street on the main property was an amazing experience with the big sky overhead. It was wonderful to be able to walk across the street to explore the bakery on Saturday and Sunday, walk the land and the hills, watch the sheep and ducks, and visit with Dena and the others while still having our own space and porch to relax at the cabin. The cabin itself was clean and well prepared with bedding, pillows, water, electricity, a coffee pot and coffee, soap, and water. Everyone was so helpful and accommodating- they delivered us firewood and more water on request, gave advice on where to explore, and engaged in truly enjoyable conversation with us each time we ran into anyone on the farm- but never were intrusive. The area is stunning, and we certainly are not done exploring it - hiking trails, river fun, and valleys are all just within a few miles and were generally easy to navigate with the maps provided in the cabin. The sunsets and starry night views alone could draw us back, but added to the peace of the space and the people hosting it.... This is most definitely not our last trip!”

“What a lovely home! I highly recommend staying here. The hosts are warm and welcoming. I couldn’t imagine a better place to stay. Everything was clean. They let me store everything in my cooler in their fridge to boot! That saved me. When you see this listing, book your stay.”
