“The cabin is new, wonderfully decorated. Water in the kitchen and in the shower was hot, heater worked great. we enjoyed many evenings watching the mountains on the screened in porch. it's very isolated from people cabin. it's so much to see and investigate in the area- for hikers, climbers...”
Our cabin is a welcoming space with large windows looking out onto the creek. The spacious living room contains comfortable seating and there are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. The loft room upstairs has two doubles. Our kitchen is stocked with essentials for cooking, and the common area has games and movies. Our cabin has abundant outdoor activities waiting, including: fishing, kayaking, ATVing, hiking. We are 3 miles from Medicine Lodge Park and 15 miles from Big Horn National Forrest.
“If you’re looking for somewhere to get away from it all, this is the place to stay. There’s a creek that runs through the back yard, horses in the neighborhood and complete darkness at night, so you can see every star in the sky. The space itself was comfortable and clean, and included an outdoor fire pit and dry firewood. That said, the area is VERY remote, so if you stay here, prepare to have no cell service and make sure to come with groceries, etc, since it is a long drive to the nearest supermarket. John was extremely responsive and helpful throughout our entire stay. He gave us plenty of useful tips and also let us book pretty last minute. If I’m ever back in the area, I would love to stay again. Thank you John! :) *side note* - If you’re coming into the area to hike in the Bighorn National Forest, be aware that this Airbnb is further away than it looks on the map. It took us about an hour to drive to the southern end of the park.”
A quiet place, bunk house in the country. Beautiful starlit nights. Great views of the Bighorn Mountains. If you book with me, PLEASE LOOK AT THE DIRECTIONS TO THE HOUSE (that you will see when you book) AS GPS WILL NOT WORK TO GET YOU HERE:) Rustic and western with all the comforts of home. Only an hour from Cody and two from Yellowstone. and Billings, MT.
“Jim is an absolute top notch host. Caring, communicative, and his spot is a sweet ranch with horses, mules, kitties and a gentle dog. His cabin is fully stocked with all you need for a cozy stay! It's easy to get too and only a 2 hr drive too and from Yellowstone. 10 out of 10 would absolutely recommend! He's a history buff too, so he'll clue you in on anything you want to know about the area and what to see while you're there. Have fun! Jims the man!”
