“Mary's cabin on Spider Lake was the perfect place for our week in Wisconsin. Not only was it a charming abode on a beautiful lake, she thoughtfully supplied 2 kayaks, a canoe, and a rowboat--along with life vests--all of which saw ample use. That's not to mention a couple of floats for a lazy day on the lake and the 2 bicycles we didn't get around to using. We had such a great time on the lake, fishing, splashing, and just relaxing. Each night the loons would sing us to sleep and we would awake each morning to the chirp of birds. With town of Iron River just around the corner, it was easy to get our groceries, grab a meal, and learn a little local history. We found the location additionally wonderful because we could do easy trips out to the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, Pattison State Park (home to the tallest waterfall in Wisconsin), Duluth, MN, and blueberry picking in the nearby pine barrens. Mary left a list and brochures for plenty to do in the area--more than we could realistically do in our time there--and was always available should we need her, though we never did. I'd highly recommend this to anyone looking for a North Woods get-away!”

“The cabin has everything to make a trip into the woods a really great experience. We were spending some time in Duluth, during a college visit, and wanted something awesome and really priced well (we beat the high expense of Duluth hotels). This was it!!! The surrounding area is so beautiful as well! Paul, Sherri, and Evonne provide a great retreat for those who are looking to enjoy the north woods and get rested up for whatever you have in store!”
This rustic, but modernized farmhouse is on 110 acres of woods, apple orchards, and a scenic creek bed. Located just 3 miles from the South Shore of Lake Superior, and 30 minutes from the Apostle Island Sea Caves, Kinney Valley Farm is a quiet place, great for bird watching and relaxing, shared only with deer and coyotes. A comfortable place to stay, while exploring Lake Superior beaches, nearby inland lakes and waterfalls, woodland trails, and the pastoral beauty of Northern Wisconsin .
“Amazing! Come here in the fall and stay a while. Great location between Ashland and Duluth making short day trips easily doable. Ann and Dave are the epitome of small town hospitality hostess and we couldn't have asked for better. The apple farm is beautiful and the fall colors were just making their appearance. The space is clean and easy to find via GPS, even in the dark. Ann had great tips for local thigs to see and do and even has a binder with more information. I can't say enough positive things here. We will definitely be back!”
