Come to discover a new concept of eco-lodge in the archipelago of Bocas del Toro ... live in a floating cabin! You will have all the comforts and activities possible in this little lost paradise !
“We ended our 2 week trip to Bocas with a couple of nights in the floating lodge which was a really unique experience. 2 nights for us was perfect to enjoy the quiet and seclusion although everywhere was just a boat ride with Eric away if you decided to venture out. Since it was $50 for a round trip to Bocas Town and $30 each way for pick up/drop off that could get a bit pricey so I'd probably say most people would enjoy this place best if they were done with Bocas Town and staying on the other islands or headed there afterwards. The included breakfast was very simple (jam and bread with a smoothie - one of the best smoothies I've ever had!), but you could add on some extra items (eggs, ham, etc) for more $ if needed. Prices in the store for beer and wine were very reasonable, and dinner was a fair price given the location of the property and Karine's cooking was great - really appreciated her accommodating to a vegetarian diet on request! Communication to contact them during our stay was through Whats App which we had some issues with on the first day since the wifi was not really working, but Eric made some router adjustments and everything was smooth after that on day 2. Karine is one of the sweetest hosts we have ever had and the entire property is very very interesting (ask Eric to try to find sloths for you - quick boat ride away!) The room was a fine temperature for sleeping with just the fans, bed was extremely comfortable and clean, fridge was great to have, and we did not mind that the showers are cold water ones. During the day was really great - we snorkeled right off the cabin, tried stand up paddle boarding, kayaked a little bit, and just relaxed and read off the deck. Once the sun is down it is totally dark and quiet - we had ordered dinner for 7:00 the first night thinking it would give us something to do that evening, but I'd probably recommend eating dinner while it's still a bit light out - there are a lot of very curious little lizards that come out to see what's on the menu and hang out in the light after dark (counted 17 at one point on the outdoor wall beside us!) This didn't bother us, but it was a more relaxed dinner for sure the next night when we ate with the sun still up and then just read our books afterwards. Was the perfect end to a great two weeks in Bocas when we were looking for some R&R, highly recommended!”
Casa Saraso, House of the Spotted Eagle Ray, is on a remote, virus free island on the Caribbean coast of Panamá . A king sized bed overlooks Volcan Baru across the turquoise water. Kitchen available.
“This magical place is for people who love being in nature and on the water. Expect the sounds of the jungle to be your music and the windows into nature to be your television. Expect your taxi to be by boat and expect to swim rather than walk. Expect your food to take longer because the ingredients are picked fresh from the garden and lots of labor goes into the meal you’ll eventually love and savor. Michelle uses her knowledge of blending spices and Ayurvedic medicine to serve you the healing and healthy food! Do not expect regular internet, cellular service, or processed foods. Michelle is full of knowledge and experience that will interest anyone who loves to learn about the world through travel. If you are lucky to hear some of her stories, you will walk away inspired. The place is one of the most tranquil places I have been. Waking up to sunrise and watching the twinkling stars and bioluminescence at night is beautiful. I learned how to make coconut oil, how chocolate is processed and that Howler monkeys will lounge on your shoulders if you have good energy. I spent four days and wish I could have spent more. I’m grateful to have been to De La Luna and will come again!”

We are an eco friendly residence using solar power and nature’s own rain water. All in a private setting with sunrises and sunsets WiFi is available
“Will and Wendi’s place is amazing. We spent one month there and it exceeded our expectations. When we got of the dock (5 O’Clock Dock) we were met by the welcoming committee of Will & Wendi and both Bruno and Pica (their 2 lovely dogs)... and boy were we shocked. We’d previously spent two weeks prior on Bastimentos, but this was a whole new level. Everything you would want or need was provided...and then some. Super clean, with many thoughtful touches. Will and Wendi know how to host! Being somewhat isolated, we cooked pretty much every meal in the fully functional kitchen. Any utensil you might require was already provided. We loved cooking fresh muffins in the “oven” every 3rd day. Something you just don’t get at some other places - it was like being back home - so convenient! Will and Wendi head into town a few days a week (guaranteed every Tuesday) for their own socialising and happily let you jump on board with them. We went grocery shopping in town once a week to collect all relevant supplies. Be organised with this... if you forget something you might have to wait another week. We were also able to see a lot around Bocas just by coordinating our schedules. Going for walks on Bastimentos, Red Frog beach, isla Carenero etc We also loved how secluded it was. It was just so quite at night. No noise, except that of nature’s very own soundtrack. And at night, no light pollution, so gazing at the stars was phenomenal. Making use of the available kayaks, paddles boards and snorkelling gear was a nice additional touch. We paddle boarded pretty much every morning and enjoyed peering down into the the crystal clear waters to observe the world below. We both work whilst travelling and one of our initial concerns was lack of quality internet. Alas a needless fear as we had zero issues! Highly recommend and we’ll be back! Thanks Will and Wendi - greatly appreciated.”
