This place is awesome! I booked one night and ended up staying 3. It’s frontline ocean view. It was super chill . The bus stop is right in front. They offer bike to explore the island for free. Thanks Akun 🤝

The person who hosted us at the place was lovely and gave us all the information we needed to visit the area. She was always responsive if you had any questions. Regarding the space, we were pleasantly surprised it was a little bigger than what the photos suggested. It is fully equipped and very pleasant. We had a great time here and would definitely recommend it.

We loved our stay at Noriko’s! The place was immaculately clean, peaceful, quiet and an amazing view. We spent the mornings listening to the birds in the peaceful setting. The chairs were comfy and the amenities Noriko provided was unexpected and added a welcoming touch! Coffee, tea, water and bath sponges! The beds were clean and comfortable with air con machines in every room. We spent our evenings winding down from the active day in Shimoda with a movie from the provided Netflix account and a cozy 7/11 night snack. Hard to beat such a peaceful evening. The new designated parking spot was easy to park into! Thank you Noriko for such a wonderful stay!! We loved our time in Shimoda!

A lovely spot in a quiet beach town, amazing views, stocked kitchen and comfortable bed. The bathroom was also great, a tub and shower with a great view. Overall a great stay.

Loved staying here with my family. The place is secluded and private and feels like you’re in a small village surrounded by greenery. But you walk ten minutes along the boardwalk and you’re at beautiful Ohama beach. The perfect beach long weekend. Can’t wait to come back.

Great stay! Strong internet/ WiFi. Close to downtown. Free bike use. Easy checkin, good communication l, and clean apartment. I stayed to go surfing nearby and they had parking available for my car.

Very good place to stay! The beach is just a short 5 minute walk which we very much enjoyed. The view from the balcony is great. Not a whole lot of places to eat nearby but there is a full kitchen to cook with. We also stayed during typhoon and host was very responsive and let us stay an extra day as the trains were suspended.

It was just extraordinary.Next, I'll stay for a consecutive night.

I booked this accommodation because I wanted to relax by myself, but I was absolutely right. I was reading a book while looking at the🩷 sea, being healed by the scent of cypress in the room, anyway, it was great, so I will stay again! Even when the wifi didn't work, it was helpful to take care of it right away!Thank you so much🥹🩷

I booked in the late winter so the greenery wasn't quite as verdant as the photo, but that's understandable. The condo with tatami sleeping area comes well-equipped with a very nice bathroom, kitchen, and sit-down outdoor gas grill on the patio for DIY teppanyaki. Note that access from the bus from Shimoda (which runs every hour or two) is best using the 2nd driveway (it has big "BBQ ⇧" painted on it); also there is currently a 9:24AM bus back which worked out great for the 10:15 Odoriko express back to Kanagawa-ken. I didn't try the adjacent BBQ restaurant with "Taco Cabana" (sounded great) but hope to the next time I get back to this very scenic part of Japan.
