“Melinda’s Airbnb is the absolute bees knees. We stayed here for four weeks and Melinda made us feel as if we were at home and a part of the local community instantly. There is so much to explore in the area. We saw local wildlife on the farm/surrounding dirt roads including kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, echidnas and lots of birds. Of course there are also the lovely cows and nearby llamas, deer and horses to enjoy looking at too. Beaches are closeby as are local bushwalks, wineries and trail biking tracks. Our small dog loved his stay here too. The actual dairy cottage is spotless in terms of cleanliness and presentation. We enjoyed using the fireplace and waking up to beautiful views every morning and watching the sunset every evening. The kitchen is well equipped with more than everything one could ever need. The shower is nice and warm, the beds are comfortable, there is plenty of room for lounging and relaxing, the house is warm when it’s cold outside and cool when it’s hot outside. We loved it and could live here permanently.”
We are right on the doorstep of the Alberton West state forest, many walking tracks. Accommodation, plus camping. We have ducks and chooks and other farm animals . Great for couples or families that want to get away from it all. You have the opportunity to have accommodation plus camping. Plenty of room to bring a tent or caravan, park a boat, horse float, a paddock to leave your horse if needed (this will be an extra charge per night). Close to Port Albert, national parks and the beach.
“We had a great time at the farm, the animals were super friendly, the house is cosy and has everything you need for a weekend away. Sharyn and Colin answered messages super quickly, and even helped us with a spider at night! Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for accomodation near Tarra Bulga National Park!”
The Yurt, at Tarkira Tree, is a simple, beautiful and comfortable one-room space set amongst permaculture gardens, next to the pristine rainforest of Tarra Bulga National Park. The Yurt has lovely views of the valley and is filled with original artwork by established Australian artist William Holt. A clear river flows close by and wombats, wallabies and birdlife abound. Take a true break, in breathtaking wilderness. As well as straight accommodation we offer healing reatreats.
“Nullani's Yurt is an absolute gift of a space - in what can only be described as the Garden of Eden, that is the Tarra Valley. Do yourself a favour - make sure to visit Victoria's divine Gippsland (do even Melbournian's know what is right on their doorstep?!) I wanted to stay forever - such is the unforgettable blissful peace & beauty within & without this accommodation! Eternally grateful Nullani. 🌿🌳🦋❤🍃”
