“We stayed at Ellen's the weekend before Christmas it's such a neat little cottage. I think we would have a hard time staying anywhere else in Jefferson now. At night you can sit on the porch and watch the horse drawn carriages drive by all lit up on their historical tours. A great place if your stuck without a car! You can see the park from the back porch and the streets and alleys take unexpected turns right into the woods, there's houses on hills, so many churches- all beautiful. Ellen's neighborhood is so great for walking (especially with dogs) we almost didn't have time to explore the town. We're glad we did though.”

“This place is so much more amazing than the photos reflect. Ken was very easy to communicate with and most hospitable - he touched base after we checked in to see if we needed anything. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable, and had every amenity we could have needed. We enjoyed a delicious dinner from the restaurant out on one of our balconies - such a relaxing family evening. Stormy was our waitress, and she was upbeat, friendly and gave us some good tips on the Jefferson area, along with a good wine recommendation. It was lovely staying in a historical building that has been updated with such care. We will definitely be back!”
Welcome to the beautiful Jefferson French Townhouse. Located in the downtown historic district, the townhouse was built in 1860 by one of the co-founders of Jefferson, Daniel Alley. The windows and front doors of the home are original and were imported from France during the New Orleans trade era; the home also features original cypress floors and 14 foot ceilings. The Townhouse is a Texas Historical Marker and in the National Registry of Historic Places. 1 nt stays are available upon request
“My best friend and I often love to travel to Jefferson for shopping, eating, and just enjoying the quaintness of the town. We’ve stayed in several bed and breakfast style accommodations and also some Air BnB places where we had the whole house. However, the French Townhouse topped them all in spades. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Tony and Brittany have thought of everything to make the place super comfortable and beautiful. They were very easy to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed. The beds were so comfortable and everything was well stocked. The location can’t be beat, as it is in very close proximity to Brookshire’s Grocery store and also in the wonderful historic district of Jefferson. We just cannot wait to go back to the beautiful and charming French Townhouse! Thank you, Tony and Brittany! Everything was just perfect!”
