The Guesthouse, attached to our family home has many unique architectural features, ply panelling, recycled and salvaged timbers throughout. The bedroom is minimally decorated. The bathroom and small kitchenette with hand crafted timber features, opens out to an al fresco dining and cooking area with a private deck overlooking the paddocks and rambling bushland. Somewhere to reflect, listen to the birds and whisper gently to the horses. Come and stay, it's quiet here.
“Fortunate to spend a few days in this special little place that is Kate’s paddock right at the footsteps of Kinglake National Park. From the entrance you are welcomed by a good size veranda that is equipped with everything that you need to relax and unwind: stunning views of the paddock, swing to help you let your hair down and enjoy the views, the horses and the multitude of birds. There is also a BBQ if you remember that you also have to eat not only sightseeing and interacting with the horses. Good size kitchenette with everything that you need for cooking the yummy eggs that Kate has left in the fridge for you alongside the homemade bread, jam and beautiful selection of teas. Bathroom is sparkling clean and offers organic soap and shower gel. The room is absolutely gorgeous with big windows looking over the paddock and forest. The smell of wood is so inviting, go inside and you don’t know where to look first: at the comfortable bed, at the good selection of books and movies, at the beautiful branch that stands for a closet... And there is more, within 30 min you have so many beautiful wineries and on farm butchers or dairy farms. Furthermore, lots of great walks and waterfalls surrounding that area. Come and spend a great time in this wonderful place !”

“Ali’s little house sits perched on top of a gorgeous hill overlooking the most beautiful rolling hills of forest. The quiet serenity is perfect for a relaxing getaway. Ali included lots of extras for us for my partners birthday and her attention to detail and care was both thoughtful and generous. The house itself it really beautiful. Gorgeous big windows looking out to the vast green outdoors. The most comfortable bed you’ve ever slept in. An amazing cinema with a brilliant selection of films. A beautiful bottle of local wine and a selection of yummy things to make breakfast. We were in self isolation and were so happy to have the opportunity to relocate to self isolate. Thanks Ali for being the perfect host.”
You’ll love our place because of the ambiance and the outdoors space. Set on 18 acres with horses, goats and lots of wildlife including kangaroos, echidnas and often a pair of eagles circling overhead. On the doorstep of the Yarra Valley Wine district and scenic Kinglake Ranges. The views from the home are spectacular. Our place is suitable for couples, solo adventurers, and furry friends (pets). 50 mins from Melbourne Airport.
“Unbelievably beautiful place! Initially, our little trip was a surprise for my partner, but to be honest it was a real surprise for me as well. Spacious, stylish and cosy house with fireplace and huge open balcony with a view (especially good for sunsets!). Very nice hosts who not only explained everything, but also helped us to set up the fire and showed us where we could go around the property. Lots of animals - farm and native Australian, felt like we were somewhere far away from Melbourne. Getting there was also super easy and quick, took us around 40min from Melbourne CBD. There are also a few wineries around selling take away pizza and astonishing wine. Highly recommend!”
