Heist is a quiet, cozy seaside resort, but for those who prefer the mundane, you can go to nearby Knokke

Nearby there are bakers, butchers, caterers... and department stores where you can easily walk to (the weekly market is on Tuesday). Not to mention the nice terraces and restaurants.
