Historically Gilleleje is an old fishing village and it was here that many Jews were transported to Sweden during World War II. Gilleleje Church was a waiting place for Jews until they could be transported. In 1943, 75 Jews were caught by the Gestapo on the church ceiling after a snitch had informed the Germans. Everywhere there are monuments of historical events. Every year there are various festivals in Gilleleje - "Hill" Festival, Harbour Festival, Jazz at the port and The Herring Day. Welcome to our cozy wooden tree house, built from recycled materials - 6.2 m above the ground. The cottage overlooks the fields, is isolated, has electricity, heating, a kitchenette and a comfortable sofa that becomes a small double bed. Enjoy the two terraces and running water in the treetop and toilet with sink below the cabin. Possibility of additional purchase: Breakfast (175 kr/2 pers.) - wilderness bath (350 kr) or one of our 2 outdoor 'escape rooms' (150 kr/ children, 200 kr/ adults). The calendar is opened continuously!

But since it is private and there is no big parking lot you'll mostly have the beach to yourself!

Our modern summerhouse is situated at Oroe in Isefjorden. The house lies on a 'hilly' plot owerlooking Isefjorden almost at the end of a gravel road. From the beach you can fish and swim.
