Tabitabi Kanoe Mitsu is a fully renovated, over 100-year-old Kyomachi house, located right next to Rokubo-Ritsu-Ji Temple, and is limited to one group per day. Looking from the entrance, you can see the garden spreading beyond the Yukimi Shoji sliding screen. It features a large palm tree. When you open the window from the living room, the semi-open-air bath directly connected to the garden invites guests to the best healing experience regardless of the season. The bathtub is made of Shigaraki-yaki, produced in a kiln in Shiga Prefecture. The far infrared effect warms the body to the core and makes it difficult for the bath to cool down. Why not relax from the daily grind while enjoying a drink and taking in the beautiful Japanese garden? The Japanese-style room on the second floor features a shoji screen with a Mondrian-style design. The bedroom headboard is designed to resemble the Tateyama mountain range. Please forget the daily hustle and relax.

Kyoto Seifuan is a private inn in a traditional Kyoto townhouse, located a short distance from the Shirakawa riverbank in Higashiyama Sanjo. Also, the alley in front is very quiet, with almost no traffic, so you can spend plenty of time relaxing. Kyoto Seifuan is a 4-minute walk from Higashiyama Station on the Tozai Line, with easy access to transportation and shopping, and you can also walk to nearby temples, Heian Jingu, Yasaka Shrine, Kiyomizu Temple, and Gion. It is a private space for rent, but in case of emergency, you can contact the staff 24 hours a day by mobile phone and email, so you can rest assured. We will accommodate your request before your stay, check-in, and luggage storage after check-out as much as possible.

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

To ensure you enjoy the stay to the fullest, I set check-in and check-out time to both 12:00 Noon. So you can stay up for 24 hours with one night booking. YAMANOTE HOUSE is accessible from major Kansai stations with 37min from Kyoto Sta. or 65min from Osaka Sta. If you come by car from Kyoto it takes less than 1 hour. The area aournd the house is once small castle town. The house is located next to the Shrine, Hiyoshi-Jinja, where the Omizo Festival is held on May 3 and 4 every year.

Our inn was apparently built in the early Showa period. We have renovated the bathroom and kitchen areas to make your stay more comfortable while still retaining the charm of the townhouse, such as the low ceilings and narrow, steep stairs.
