Looking for a quiet place to stay that offers the comforts of home then Under the Oak ( Sous les Chene ) Is the place to be. Here you will enjoy an entire cottage on a unique property with a history of its own.
“Wonderful doesn’t begin to describe the experience. Nancy and her husband are gracious hosts, excellent at communication, and have thought of every little thing you could need. If the booking is open, you should just go ahead and do it! It is situated in a nicely spaced out residential area, tucked away from hustle and bustle but very accessible to the major highways. Shower pressure was excellent, plenty of pillows, nutritious variety of snacks and farm fresh eggs. Beautiful backyard patio, decorated with healthy thriving plants—it was cool during my trip, otherwise would have spent more time out there. Perfect getaway for a small family or couple. I drove daily into New Orleans and felt the distance was not an issue—the drive goes fast. I can’t recommend the cottage enough, would certainly stay again if I’m back in the New Orleans area.”

“This tiny home is just as or better than advertised. You can tell James takes pride in this place and it shows. Although it is a very tiny house it is more than accommodating and feels very welcoming and cozy. James himself was very friendly and approachable. The place is quite and has a great atmosphere. Look forward to a return trip in the future.”

“My husband and I were just looking for a place to rest our heads for the night before heading to New Orleans the next day... but Elke and Calvin provided so much more than that! We've stayed in many Airbnbs, and their hospitality is unrivalled! So kind, great suggestions about the area, knowledgeable about local history, and overall great to talk to! The room and bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable. Also had a Roku with Netflix, Hulu, etc. in the room. The room and private bathroom are on the opposite side of the house from Elke and Calvin, which we liked for extra privacy and to not feel like we're too loud right next door. The property is also a labor of their love and so beautiful! And the breakfast Elke made in the morning with fresh eggs from their chickens... incredible! We were beyond impressed with this airbnb experience! If you're considering staying here, do it!”
