Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Lake Päijänne

Beautiful house and yard. Everything has been carefully designed and implemented. The decor was cozy and the family of 5 was a great fit. The sauna was great. The beach is really shallow, but it has a pleasant sandy bottom. There are good sports facilities nearby.

A weekend getaway at the cottage, in the peace of the countryside. It was peaceful and nature was nearby. You could have gone down to Messila when it was so close to the slopes, but maybe next time. It was very nice to stay here, everything worked as expected and the description of the cottage was accurate. Responses to messages were quick! It was very entertaining.

The stay met our needs brilliantly. Guests included two dogs who enjoyed the outdoors in the fenced-in yard. The youngest guest was a 5-month-old baby with a travel crib ready. There was also plenty of level space in the bathroom, and the changing of the mantle went smoothly. I'm sure we'll book a stay again if we're on the go with a larger group of people.

There was reading and exploring for the children 😄 we traveled with four adults and three children, and there was room for everyone. Nearby playgrounds. We're all very happy with the stay 🫶🏻😍

Lea is a lovely host - very welcoming, warm, friendly, accomodating, easygoing and flexible. I had no issues whatsoever with her or my stay in her house. The house and her property by the lake is just gorgeus, the view is so calming and beautiful to look at. She takes great care of her garden too. I found the house having a very peaceful energy to it, I felt very relaxed there. The only slight downside for me personally was the double bed itself in the bedroom I stayed in. The mattress felt as it had seen it's better days, didn't feel quite firm enough for me, but then again this might not be an issue to other guests at all. I personally happen to have certain back issues and a good bed is something that's very important to me (I had forgotten to ask about the bed prior to my trip). I spoke to Lea about it after my first night and she was just wonderful with the whole thing as with everything else - didn't get triggered or provoked at all. She offered one of the other rooms to me as the single beds are firmer and that I could pretty much choose freely what ever works for me best as I was the only guest in the house during my stay. I found her to be very easygoing and just lovely in every way. I had some very nice conversations with Lea as well and we shared some great laughs too. She was also very kind to me, for example when it rained hard upon my arrival and my only shoes had gone soaking wet, she offered to dry them in the sauna for the next day. Also on another day when it kept raining, she offered me her own rain coat and rain boots so that I wouldn't get wet as I was taking part in the music festival as a singer and getting sick would have been very unfortunate. She also allowed me to practise freely in the house. Brewing a cup of coffee in the morning and the use of basic condiments such as salt and pepper while cooking in the kitchen was also included in the price. I am very pleased with my stay at Lea's beautiful home. She was a superb, fun host and seemed like a wonderful humanbeing overall. I felt great in her house and have no complaints about her whatsoever.

Such a cozy cabin and a beautiful view on both sides! Saw the northern lights after sauna and it was really the cherry on top. ♥️ the cabin was perfect!

Very clean one-bedroom apartment in a good location.

Cute and cozy apartment. Very clean. Comfortable couch and bed. The kitchen area was tight, but we found everything we needed, the dishwasher was a great addition! Comfortably lush surroundings and the apartment was not disturbing from the adjacent road or elsewhere in the house. Good blackout curtains. Communicating with Tanja was nice and easy. Convenient walk from downtown. Highly recommend!

Extremely clean and in a quiet location. Check-in is easy and flexible. Special mention, among other things, about board games, which took time on a rainy night. I've stayed before and can highly recommend!

Anna has a lovely city home with all the necessary equipment. Particularly good bed to sleep! Parking along the street next to the house was good. There was always space. The apartment was on the 3rd floor and no elevator, so a little challenging with luggage and a dog. Peaceful streets and a forested area were found in a nearby tiny house area. I could come again!

I was on a work trip and the apartment was a great fit for its location. Everything worked as planned. The apartment is also nice and tidy. Definitely could come again.

I have stayed at Mervin Aittorinne homes in Jyväskylä and Kajaani a few times already. Aittorine's apartment is conveniently passing north or south. Mervi's apartments are clean, welcoming, beautifully decorated, and well equipped. Everything you need is on the spot. Communication with Mervi is always great, and the visit is effortless from start to finish. I can warmly recommend Mervi's apartments and will be happy to stay there again!
