Vacation rentals with a firepit in Leventina District

We had a wonderful weekend at Chalet Balu. Myriam and her family are very hospitable and helpful. We enjoyed the stay and will definitely be back.

We had a fantastic stay in the chalet. The chalet itself is beautiful and clearly built and furnished with a great deal of skill and care. It’s located on a beautiful hillside with views of the surrounding mountains and surrounded by green pastures. Our closest neighbors were the local cows. The location works best with a car and is within easy driving distance to hikes and sites in the Interlaken region. It’s possible to get there by public transport through a bus from Brienz but it didn’t seem to be very frequent (about once an hour). We were there in September which was a good time to visit. The chalet is heated by wood fire and was a bit cold the first night (we arrived late and the fire wasn’t on for long before we went to bed) but very comfortable the rest of the stay - there was plenty of wood and it kept the heat in well). The weather outside was great for hikes and exploring. It was clearly off-season and some restaurants were closed (eg in Axalp) so good to plan ahead.

The Rustico was exactly as we expected. In a quiet location, with a stunning view of nature. Ideal for relaxing. We especially liked the furnishings very much, we felt right at home. Since we were there for several weeks, we often had contact with Norbert. He was always available immediately and very helpful with his open manner. It is noteworthy that he has even postponed long-planned renovations so that the house is available to us during the desired period. We really appreciate that. We will definitely come back and recommend the Rustico! To get there, there is a description with video, so you can get right to the front door. A narrow road uphill leads you to Valeria’s beautiful house where we had an amazing stay. The location is truly exceptional, offering breathtaking views of Lago Maggiore and the surrounding mountains. If you're looking to immerse yourself in nature, but still be close to the Lago Maggiore, this is the perfect spot. The house itself is modern, well-equipped, and very comfortable. The beds are comfortable. The large garden was a favorite spot for us, where we could relax and enjoy the panoramic views. Valeria was a wonderful host—kind, flexible, and always ready to help with any questions or requests we had. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and highly recommend Valeria's house for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with stunning views of Lago Maggiore.

Delightful place in a very quiet area, immersed in the mountains. Very well cared for, clean and equipped with everything you need. Great communication with Susanne, always quick to respond. To emphasize the great availability to help us with the snow. Finally, perfect location to access the Andermatt facilities, about 20 minutes away.

We immediately felt at home in this newly renovated accommodation. It was all there for a cozy stay. The location is perfect for trips up the mountain and further into the valley. Likewise, the bathroom is only a few minutes' walk away. In short: ideal for us.

Write an Airbnb review for the first time. First of all, the view is crazy. I've never had such a peaceful and beautiful place in my life However, there were a lot of hills, so it was difficult to go back and forth. It was so hard when I dragged my carrier for the first time....... So I recommend getting off at Grindelwald Terminal Station rather than Grindelwald Station! And the bus worked well, so we took the bus. The accommodation also said that there is a key on the first floor, but this is the second floor of Korea on the first floor, so I was looking for it in a strict place. I couldn't go in for 20 minutes and it was a menbung. When I woke up with the window view while grilling pork belly in the kitchen, the bedroom view... It was just so healing. ♥ Considering the difficulties coming and going, this is a highly recommended accommodation!!!

We stayed a couple of nights at Fabio’s. The unit is spacious and clean. Good spot to go and explore Locarno-Ascona region.

A really beautiful chalet in a peaceful location. Bed very comfortable, we slept well. Chalet very tastefully decorated and parking really convenient. Kitchen had good amenities and we had wonderful local products ordered from Reto which was really handy for our arrival. We enjoyed fondue in the chalet. Hosts are generous with supplies - seasonings, oils, tea/coffee etc. We lit the oven and stove which provided nice warmth. Would recommend this place 😊

The 6 of us had a wonderful stay at Christoph's apartment. The communication and information were impeccable and understandable, everything as described. We loved the quaint house and 2 people could comfortably share one room each. Wonderfully quiet, fantastic view. If you arrive by car, the location is also ideal for ski trips to Grindelwald or boat/kayak tours in Bönigen. Since we were there over a Christmas holiday and New Year's Eve, the prices were of course higher, which is common in the area at the time of year and was no surprise to us. We would definitely come back! High recommendation from us.

We were guests for the second time in this beautiful alpine hut and that probably says it all! :) Our first stay in the pre-Christmas season 2023 could hardly have been more beautiful with fresh fresh snow. Also this time at the beginning of March we had fantastic weather - some snow, sunshine every day and blue sky - we can hardly imagine a more relaxing place than Cortinella. The alpine panorama in the tranquility of nature and of course the hot tub are the highlights in this vacation paradise, where we lacked nothing - except maybe enough vacation days ;-) Hopefully we will be back soon!

Marc is a fantastic host. The accommodation is a typical Swiss mountain hut with tradition, which we really liked. The arrival was comfortable, the cabin is easy to reach. Thanks Marc, we will be happy to come back.

Lovely place to get away from busy city life. The hike up is no problem and mostly stairs in the forest. We even hiked it with headlamps at night (1km about 250m elevation). Bring a hot-water bottle if you come in fall or spring. The valley is beautiful and offers lot's of easy and more challenging hikes. We had a great time and would come back!

We had a truly wonderful stay at Ca Pedrot! The cabin is super cozy, we loved the sauna, and the views are fantastic. We loved the little touches like nice bed linens and towels and luxury soaps. There's an extensive range of pots/pans, cooking utensils, etc. The cabin has plenty of privacy. It's also is on a nice snowshoe path, for winter visits. We were particularly impressed by Andy, the host, who was super communicative, got the fire going in the wood stove for us because we were arriving in the evening, gave us pointers for using the cable car and finding the cabin in the dark. True hospitality! Can't wait to go back.

Mountain house surrounded by nature with breathtaking views that, alone, is worth the asking price for the stay. The house is spacious (we were in 5 adults) and has everything you need for a peaceful and pleasant stay. The two wood-burning fireplaces available are more than enough to heat the spaces in a short time and give a timeless atmosphere. Mario is an extraordinary host: responsive, very kind and available. The directions and instructions you gave us on the different roads to get to the house were clear, real and useful. In short: I recommend everyone to stay in Mario's house, you will not be disappointed!!

We were very well hosted by Maruska. The hamlet of Piantürin is full of charm, secluded and very quiet, with several hiking departures possible. Great experience despite bad weather, very good value… We'll be back! Thank you Maruska.
