Cabin #7 - "Waugoshance" A hybrid word, combining the Anishinaabemowin word wah'goosh (fox) and the French word anse (cove). This 2 bedroom, 528 sq ft cabin is named after a nearby peninsula off the northwest coast of Michigan's lower peninsula.
“The cottage is surprisingly spacious in person, and the view outside the window is gorgeous! We went on a cold stormy weekend so we spent most of the time inside with the fire warming us and and seeing the rain meet the lake outside the window. Outside patio thats super cute and a fire pit outside with room for your own grill! Wifi was shockingly fast, only downside was that I had to re check in with my fb account half way through my stay but thats very minor. A Nice size tv, a comfortable chair and a. futon were our best friends on the trip. Definitely will be coming back!”
This charming log cabin is the perfect place to slow down, relax, and enjoy the area's peaceful, wooded surroundings. For those looking to explore all that Northern Michigan's four seasons have to offer - you are within minutes of hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, biking, golfing, fishing and boating. End your day with a rejuvenating sauna, or telling stories by the cozy fire. A retreat to the Cub Cabin is the perfect way to recharge, reconnect, and get away from the "hustle and bustle".
“Fantastic slice of peaceful paradise. The land surrounding the cabin is almost as cozy and wonderful as the hospitality shown by Tom and Diane. The cabin is loaded with thoughtful little touches that really make the place feel like your home away from home. Cannot recommend enough!”
Comfortable small room in quiet safe neighborhood 2.5 miles east of downtown Petoskey. On main floor with queen bed and access to two shared bathrooms, kitchen, and living room. Deck out back with gorgeous view of Tannery Creek Valley and ski hills across the bay. We provide coffee and tea. No cleaning fees. Two rooms are offered in this space.
“Such a wonderful experience! Price was perfect, location was great, and they were such lovely people. Private bedroom to myself, bathroom directly across the hall was to myself as well (no other guests at the time). Let me come and go as I needed. Was a really nice feature being able to use the kitchen and fridge. Just to be able to store some food and make coffee in the morning made me feel like I was at home or at a friends house. I didn’t feel like a ‘stranger’ at all. Sat and chatted with Annette for about 2.5 hours when I first got there and shared a beer. 10/10 would stay here again if I’m in the Petosky area! Thank you two so much! Cheers!”
