The hikes within walking distance are breathtaking. The Airstream is so thoughtfully designed and decorated- it feels more spacious and trendy than most San Francisco apartments. We enjoyed reading on the sun deck, napping in the hammock, making local french press coffee, and of course the outdoor shower! I’ve already recommended this getaway to friends and we would definitely stay again.”
We have a large, lower unit, private loft-like studio with a separate entrance, washer/dryer, and private outdoor space. It is quiet amongst the Redwoods, with ample parking and very close to San Francisco, Muir Woods, Stinson Beach, downtown Mill Valley, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Sausalito, Tiburon, bike paths and mountain bike trails.

Beautiful sunny tiny jewel box with lovely view setting. In law unit located on Mt. Tam. Five minute drive to downtown Mill Valley. Tiny but super clean and brand new construction, 350 square feet. Lovely views, sun and quiet setting. Acres of land surround the main cottage, very peaceful location. Endless mountain biking, running and hiking trails right out the door. 10 stairs going down to unit. Sturdy railing. Comfy pull out twin bed.

I was worried about being cold as it was a chilly winter weekend, but Dana reassured me that the heat would be adequate, especially with an extra portable heater if needed. When I arrived, she even provided a 2nd comforter just in case. I was cozy as can be! Echoing other reviews, Dana keeps things very clean! Also, the kitchen had a spacious fridge, a Keurig coffee maker, large toaster oven & a microwave & dishes which worked just fine for my purposes. The bed is comfortable and the shower / bath has good water pressure (helpful wirh long hair). I welcomed warm baths after my 2 days of long hikes. While this is a very small place, it’s the right amount of space if you’re looking to get out and explore all that Mill Valley and Mt Tam has to offer. If you’re a timid driver, try and arrive during daylight as the road gets narrow with a steep hillside. Dana offers her driveway for parking which was awesome - btw, the benefit of a steep hillside is incredible views! I’d return in a heartbeat!”
