Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Monterey Bay

Really appreciated the stay, and was great overall! Lots of nice touches, amazing location, and very helpful host.

Had a wonderful time here with my wife and 1 year old. They have a pack n play with a mattress and sheets, which is much appreciated. Note that the bedrooms are up a flight of stairs from the kitchen and living room and there isn't a permanent set of child gates installed. This was definitely one of the cleanest Airbnbs I've stayed in. The location is also very convenient for getting around Monterey by car - 7 minutes to the aquarium, 3 minutes to Asilomar beach, 4 minutes to Lovers point. One bedroom faces 17 Mile Drive, and there is a noticeable amount of traffic noise. This didn't bother me since I sleep with earplugs, but something to keep in mind if you're a light sleeper or like keeping the windows open. Checking in and out was painless and there is a dedicated parking spot directly by the entrance which is amply sized for a sedan or SUV and easy to pull into. Gas fireplace works well and is very toasty. We didn't cook but it's well stocked with dinnerware.

We had a great stay! Five of us coworkers shared the house, and it accommodated us perfectly. Everyone was comfortable, we all slept well, and there was plenty of space for getting ready in the mornings. The home is charming with a cute beach-themed decor. The neighborhood felt safe and quiet, and Janiece provided clear, detailed instructions that made check-in and the stay smooth. We would definitely stay here again!

This house was great for our family of four. We had plenty of space, the kitchen was well equipped, and the outside area gave the kids a nice place to play. Our toddler especially enjoyed the Thomas train set in his room! This is a lovely area of Santa Cruz too - easy walk to the beach and Boardwalk.

Great spot in Santa Cruz! The deck is a nice perk and easy to walk to coffee and the beach. Great natural light and nice to have a protected parking spot.

e stayed for a few nights, and this location was unbelievable! The property itself was stunning and private—just what we were looking for. Every amenity we could possibly need for a short getaway was thoughtfully provided. As Bay Area natives, we’re so excited to have found a spot like this for quick escapes. The Boardwalk had arcades open and some shops stayed open late, which was a nice surprise. The beach closes at midnight, making late-night walks peaceful and relaxing—and the 10-minute walk back is super easy. Downtown is only a 12-minute stroll, so it’s convenient to wander, grab food, and explore at your own pace. There are tons of great dining options throughout the day. This place truly had it all—convenient, cozy, and close to everything.

Loved the place! Enjoyed fresh eggs for breakfast and the kids loved watching the chickens. Comfy home to stay in, felt like home.

Home was well stocked, including high chair & pack-n-play. Omar was very responsive and accommodating. Beach was within walking distance of home.

Our stay at Michele’s Airbnb was absolutely lovely, the space was so charming. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the Michele had considered every detail to make guests feel comfortable and cared for. The space was warm, inviting, clean, and it truly felt like a home away from home.

Perfect for our anniversary weekend! The place was very spacious and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable and relaxing visit. Everything was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully set up. The images helped locate the parking. As long as you know what the exterior of the building looks like then you’ll easily locate the parking area behind. The parking entrance was narrow but wasn’t difficult to maneuver. Overall, a great experience and would definitely visit again!

We loved our stay and hope to stay here again in future. Wonderful neigborhood- lots to walk to and close to UCSC.

Well-stocked, simply furnished bungalow-type attached residence in the Seabright neighborhood, convenient to the northeastern residential sections of Santa Cruz and to supermarkets and natural food stores. Many new, easy-to-operate small appliances and good laundry set-up. Ample kitchenware and condiments. Quiet city surroundings, easy parking. Overall, staying at the unit (and interacting with owner) was a pleasure.

Close enough to walk to everything and far enough away to be peaceful.

Dan’s place was walkable to all the places we wanted to visit. Parking definitely a plus! Dan is such a great host and very accommodating. Had a wonderful stay.

Nice to have 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths, nice living room and very clean. There is an office and people outside a lot early, but we had places to go, so didn't bother us.

A lovely comfortable place. Loved the decor and the great light from all the windows. Centrally located close to the beach, boardwalk, parks, and restaurants. The place was spacious and met all our needs. We will definitely return for another stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at Kristina’s condo! The place was spotless, beautifully furnished, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We had a wonderful short getaway at Sue’s place! The condo is just steps from the beach, pool, and jacuzzi. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was relaxing, and the ocean breeze was very refreshing. It was exactly what we needed to reset and recharge. Everything was just as described, and we would stay here again! Thank you, Sue!

We had such a relaxing time! So close to the beach, loved being able to walk out the door and be at the ocean. We could hear the waves at night. Sunsets were beautiful. The condo was perfect for us, had everything we needed! Great place to stay!

This was our second time staying at My’s place. It’s a beautiful location, just steps from the beach. We’ve already booked it again for next year!

This is our second time at Sally's Seaside Condo. Wescrutinized different units and we came back to this one for several reasons - of course, Sally is great to work with, very responsive and helpful. The key amenity is the view - we love the sunset from this unit ... April through the summer from this unit. The view is indeed the killer feature. Everything All the rest is gravy - the unit is setup very comfortable for a weekend stay, walking to restaurants across the street, walking to the beach, hot tub, etc..

Just go and let Aaron be your host! You will not be disappointed. Aaron was very accommodating, and can’t wait to return to the Harbor House.

We really enjoyed our stay, the home was beautiful and very clean. Easy check-in/access with responsiveness from the host. Views were beautiful with great restaurants within a short distance. Our only disappointment was the second bedroom not having the bunk bed setup that was indicated/pictured at our time of booking last year. We made due but would have preferred it as shown when we booked. Would stay again and recommend to others!
